Sika Primer Marine primer creates an active adhesion layer on metal and wooden surfaces, as well as aluminium. It is solvent-based, colourless with a slight yellow tint, and reacts with moisture. It is intended for surface preparation before applying one-component Sika polyurethane products and selected Sikasil® sealants or adhesives.
Apply in a single coat using a brush, lint-free cloth or sponge applicator. It is ready to use and does not require thinning. The surface must be clean, dry and free of contaminants. It is touch-dry in 30 minutes and fully dry in 24 hours. The overcoating window is 0.5–24 hours, depending on the application and conditions. Avoid high temperatures and mechanical stress for approximately 3 days after application.
