The R series is designed for an exceptional acoustic experience. Every element of the design has been tuned to provide more detail and deeper insight into the sound listening. Developed for KEF's top models, "The Reference," it includes many modern technologies, such as Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT).

MAT technology absorbs 99% of unwanted sound from the back of the driver, offering a more natural and clearer sound. The Uni-Q technology places the tweeter at the acoustic center of the bass/midrange cone, creating a coaxial sound emission system.

The R series benefits from high vibration damping through a carefully constructed base that converts unwanted vibrations into heat. The bass drivers have a unique two-part structure that achieves intense and fast response.

The speakers are designed to perform equally well with or without grilles, which are made from multiple layers of material with 1801 carefully cut holes per driver. The magnetic attachments ensure secure placement.
