Designed to match any floor-standing speakers in the R series, the R2 Meta features the 12th generation Uni-Q driver array with MAT technology and two 5.25-inch hybrid aluminum low-frequency speakers. It is small enough for use in smaller rooms, yet capable of high-quality sound even with the most dynamic music and movies. Extremely versatile and can be used in an LCR (Left-Center-Right) configuration.

Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT) is a truly revolutionary tool in KEF's acoustic toolkit. Its structure resembles a labyrinth and absorbs 99% of unwanted sound from the back of the driver, compared to about 60% absorption from speakers using different approaches. The result is a more natural and clearer sound.

Uni-Q technology involves placing the tweeter precisely at the acoustic center of the bass/midrange cone. This unique point source creates a coaxial sound emission system, offering uniform sound to everyone in front of a KEF speaker.
