Gold Gilding Varnish Acrylic Protection Manetti

Acrylic final painting varnish for protecting gilded surfaces by Manetti. Protects gold and silver leaf from external conditions. Gives the gilded surface a glossy finish.

• Apply by dabbing, brush, or spray
• Dries in about 4 hours
• Once dry, the surface develops a transparent and bright protective layer
• Protection for gilded surfaces
• Prevents oxidation of the leaf
• Before application, the surface must be clean, dry, and free of any grease
• Store in a cool (below 20°C) and dry place in its tightly closed container, away from exposure to sunlight or heat
• Coverage: 7-10 square meters / 1 liter (when diluted, depends on the degree of dilution)

More instructions:

Apply the varnish, diluted with an appropriate solvent, with a brush, by dabbing, or spray. For spray application, dilute the first coat by 40-50%, after 6-8 hours apply a second coat diluted by 20-30%. For brush or dabbing application, dilute the first coat by 70-100%, after 6-8 hours apply a second coat diluted by 20-30%.

Application: Spray application is recommended. When applying with a brush, it is important to do so as quickly and smoothly as possible, without pauses or interruptions. The varnish tends to dry within 15-30 minutes.
