Let's travel one last time () to my beloved Knockemout and this atmospheric series with the final book that follows the story of Lucian and Sloane! Having seen these characters in the previous books, I won't hide from you that I was eagerly waiting to read their love story and finally discover the secrets that made them friends -> enemies and, in this book, finally lovers. Oh, it was definitely a rollercoaster of emotions as their hatred turned into deep love and explosive passion! Favorite trope & favorite couple of the series for me. Lucian and Sloane started their friendship in childhood, which was quite turbulent for Lucian. The story alternates between the present and the past, and while Lucian evolves into a dynamic alpha male with the power and money to destroy everyone, he still battles his demons and his obsession with the petite librarian. Sloane has reached a phase in her life where she has done everything she wanted except the most important thing for her: family. So she reevaluates her goals and relationships. Until the animosity with her neighbor turns into something more explosive and hot... But Sloane is ready for family and marriage while Lucian doesn't even want to think about it. Until he almost loses her... and then everything changes!
How much I love this series, I've told you many times about it and I believe everyone should read it, both for the main characters and the secondary ones and the atmosphere of Knockemout!
