I have the aforementioned amperometer for over 10 years and it is still older, considering it's been around for 15 years. I don't know about the batches that are currently available and if anything has changed in terms of quality, but I will talk about the one I have.

As an amperometer and judging by the price, it is of high accuracy, confirmed with a multimeter measuring resistance and voltage in tests. The accuracy at low loads up to 10-20, I would say, is half an ampere. The diameter and position of the conductor play a role in its accuracy, but I don't know about the accuracy in inductive loads.

As a multimeter, it is useful if you need a multimeter and don't have one. For basic use, it is not suitable. The accuracy is around 0.2-0.3 volts and it shows 13 when it should show 12.8, and if it's slightly lower, it shows 12-13 without settling somewhere. The same goes for lower values, it will show 12 for 12.3-12.5, etc. It rounds up and does not have decimals.

As a resistance meter, I haven't tested it, but I have seen that it works in the same way.

In terms of construction, it is of good quality. The mechanism of the clamp holds and doesn't break, but it cannot withstand drops. It is very easy for the corners to break and for the clamp to come out of its position. The rotary knob has not caused any problems.

One battery can last around 5 years if not used frequently, and it can last even longer with a low battery indication if used occasionally.

For someone who wants a simple amperometer for general use, for example, to measure full load in a panel, motor, compressor, etc., if their consumption is at a normal level, then it does the job very well.

For someone who wants a multimeter and a surgical precision amperometer, it is not suitable, and it is logical since such instruments cost more than 10 times its price.

At this price, I consider it to be the best option as long as it is intended for the specific use it can serve.

I would also like to mention that as an amperometer, it only works with alternating current and NOT with direct current. It does not have that function like other more expensive options, and it only works by measuring one conductor.

A while ago (10/02/2023) I received the DT266 DIGITAL CLAMP METER.
It was sealed with plastic wrap which I tore open.
    Meaning it was new.
    Unfortunately, it doesn't work.
It functions as a multimeter but not as a clamp meter.
    It doesn't show anything.
A while ago (17/02/2023) I received a second clamp meter as a replacement. Unfortunately, the second one doesn't work as a clamp meter either.
I didn't test it as a multimeter. I'm not interested.
    I requested a refund.
Obviously, it is a defective product.

It is not suitable for amperage measurement, it measures the amperes incorrectly. Instead of 8.5A, it measured 6.5A. I don't even mention the values for larger loads... look for another product.

A device with a small screen (but with good-sized characters), with few scales.
Ideal for high currents (maybe only suitable for electricians)...
The most important thing for me is that when measuring volts, it only displays whole numbers (disappointing)
