Description

An excellent quality substrate for all varieties of Hoyas. Completely peat and soil-free, it promotes healthy root growth.

Contains:

  • Coco coir
  • Activated carbon
  • Worm castings
  • Coconut husk chips
  • Orchid bark
  • Perlite
  • DCM organic nutrients

How to Use:

  • Remove as much of the old soil as possible.
  • Gently squeeze the pot while holding it sideways to loosen the plant.
  • Rinse the roots under tap water to remove the last pieces of soil.
  • Remove any dead foliage.
  • Add a small layer of soil at the bottom of the pot.
  • Place the plant in the pot and slowly add the soil mixture.
  • Ensure the point where the roots meet the plant is below the substrate.
  • Gently tap the mixture into the pot.
  • Water well after repotting.

Why the Hoya mix works:

This mix contains everything a Hoya needs. The activated carbon helps prevent issues related to root rot. There's enough orchid bark and coconut fibers for support and aeration of the larger roots. The mix drains relatively quickly as Hoyas prefer to dry out between waterings.

The Hoya originates from tropical areas of Asia, the Pacific islands, and Australia. They are usually climbing or trailing vines and are epiphytic, meaning they can grow on surfaces such as trees and rocks.

Review this product
  • I have been using it for a few months now and the plants' response seems good. The soil has good aeration and I hope it will be confirmed during the winter.
