Appearance: It has thick, fleshy, light green leaves, almost round to ovate.
Height: 10–30 cm.
Growth rate: Slow to moderate.
Position: Usually planted in the middle or back part of the aquarium.
Special feature: It can also be grown emersed (out of water, in moist substrates), where it blooms with small white or pale blue flowers.
Aquarium conditions:
- Temperature: 22–28 °C
- pH: 6.5 – 7.5 (resistant even to slightly more extreme values)
- GH (hardness): 2–15 dGH
- Lighting: Low to moderate (does not require strong lighting, but with more light it grows denser).
- CO2: Not necessary, but helps faster and more vigorous growth.
- Nutrients: Resistant even without enriched substrate. If fertilization is added, it grows faster and stays greener.
