Description: Round, green leaves with a thin petiole, emerging at intervals along the stem.

Height: 15–40 cm (depending on conditions).

Growth rate: Fast.

Placement: Can be planted in the substrate, float, or be allowed to climb on wood/rocks.

Special feature: In emersed form (out of water, in a humid environment) it can bloom with small white flowers.

Aquarium conditions:

• Temperature: 20–28 °C
• pH: 6.0 – 7.5 (resistant also to slightly alkaline water)
• GH (hardness): 2–15 dGH
• Lighting: Moderate to intense (in low light leaves become smaller and sparser, while in strong light they grow larger and become more vibrant).
• CO2: Not necessary, but helps faster and more intense growth.
• Nutrients: Consumes a lot, especially nitrates. Useful for pollutant control and algae prevention.
