I bought it to replace a rotary cap that broke after 5 years due to strong winds, as I live near the sea. It is smaller than other similar stainless steel fixed caps that cost 100€ and above. In this short period of use, I can say that it may not perform as well as the rotating one, but it behaves quite well in strong winds and prevents the entry of air and smoking from the fireplace. The only drawback for me was that its collar is female, so I had to buy a male-to-male adapter (another 20€) since the collar of my previous cap was male.
Το πήρα προς αντικατάσταση ενός περιστροφικού καπέλου που μου χάλασε μετά από 5 χρόνια από τον πολύ αέρα, μιας και μένω κοντά σε θάλασσα. Είναι πιο μικροσκοπικό από άλλα αντίστοιχα inox σταθερά καπέλα που κοστίζουν 100€ και πάνω. Σε αυτή την ολιγόμηνη χρήση μπορώ να πως μπορεί να μην τραβάει τόσο καλά όσο το περιστρεφόμενο, αλλά στον πολύ αέρα συμπεριφέρεται αρκετά καλά και δεν επιτρέπει την είσοδο του αέρα και το κάπνισμα του τζακιού. Το μόνο μειονέκτημα για εμένα ήταν πως το κολάρο του είναι θηλυκό και έτσι αναγκάστηκα να αγοράσω και έναν μετατροπέα αρσενικό σε αρσενικό (άλλα 20€) μιας και το κολάρο του προηγούμενου καπέλου που είχα ήταν αρσενικό.
