Charcoal incense of Elder Porphyrios. Available in scents: Byzantine, Amber, Myrrh, Bethlehem, Jerusalem. Charcoal incense from the Athonite tradition. Completely natural and handmade. Free from flammable materials and ready for incense burning.
The charcoal incense in stick form is entirely handmade. There is no need to add incense, as the incense is inherently contained within it. It is completely natural with strictly traditional ingredients, free from flammable or toxic substances, and ready for incense burning. It originates from the tradition of the Athonite and Sinai fathers. Saint Porphyrios prepared it at Mount Athos as a ministry, according to his biography.
How to Properly Light Charcoal Incense:
- Holding it horizontally and steadily, ignite the tip while maintaining the flame for 10-15 seconds, until you see a small flame ignite.
- Allow it to sit for a moment and then gently blow on it to oxygenate the burning.
- The charcoal incense will smolder for at least half an hour. If a shorter duration is desired, you can cut it.
