The ISOLFON BARRIER sound insulating membrane, made from viscoelastic material with increased surface weight, significantly improves the sound insulation value of lightweight structural elements, particularly in gypsum board constructions. Thanks to their viscoelastic properties, excessive surface weight, and high mechanical strength and flexibility, they are one of the most useful sound insulating materials in lightweight and dry construction for wall soundproofing.
The ISOLFON BARRIER sound insulating membrane is produced from high-density EPDM viscoelastic elastomer and is environmentally friendly, as it does not contain bitumen or other harmful materials. It retains its sound insulating properties without softening, liquefying, or breaking across a wide range of temperatures.
- ISOLFON BARRIER 10 kg/m2, sheets 100×120 cm thickness 5 mm
- ISOLFON BARRIER 5 kg/m2 rolls 5m x 100 cm thickness 2.5 mm
- ISOLFON BARRIER 3.5 kg/m2 rolls 5m x 100 cm thickness 1.8 mm
The sheets for the sound insulating membrane are also available in adhesive form for easier installation in applications requiring wall soundproofing.
Uses:
- Soundproofing airborne noise in lightweight constructions made of sheet metal, gypsum board, brick, synthetic sheets, particleboard, MDF, etc.
- Soundproofing impact noise in applications such as doors, floating floors, gypsum board partitions, fan sound enclosures, vehicle flooring, soundproof curtains, etc.
- Damping resonance phenomena in metal sheets, plastic sheets, drainage pipes, vehicles, etc.
Application:
- Can be applied to any surface – flat or curved.
- No special tools are required for handling and installation.
- Easy to cut with a common knife to the desired shape and dimensions.
- Installed with glue or simply with a stapler.
