How does it work?

Plant cells freeze when the perceived temperature falls below zero for an extended period. This usually occurs under conditions of intense evaporation of moisture present on the leaves. Such conditions prevail in the early morning hours when the sun comes into direct contact with the leaves or during strong winds. The anti-frost fabric protects by allowing photosynthesis and proper plant respiration. It is made from a hydrophobic material, which does not retain moisture, thus preventing the development of fungal diseases.
