The Brita Maxtra Pro Extra Lime Protection replacement water filter reduces limescale, chlorine, lead and copper, helping improve the taste of water, tea and coffee. It reduces limescale 50% more effectively than Brita All-in-1, while helping protect kitchen appliances from limescale deposits.
The ultrafine filter mesh traps particles, while the additional high-performance mesh traps up to 4 times more particles than Maxtra+. Each filter replaces up to 150 single-use 1-litre plastic bottles. It is made from 50% bio-based plastic and can be recycled through the Brita recycling programme.
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
Users generally appreciate its effective limescale reduction and good filtration performance, especially in areas with hard water. They say it is suitable for drinking water, coffee makers, and kettles, and that it is easy to install and frequently repurchased. However, there is one negative review without a specific reason.
Excellent anti-scale filter.
The hard water in Kifisia, from 175ppm it reduced it to 105ppm.
Ideal for use in coffee machines, kettles, and also for drinking water.
Highly recommended.
If I hadn't seen the difference in the coffee maker and the kettle, I wouldn't have believed it. There are no more limescale deposits. I didn't find such a difference even in bottled water.
It is indeed more effective than regular filters, I checked it with an analyzer on the water in Kifisia. From 318 particles it reduced it to 130.

The new revision of Brita's filter for hard water is the same as the old one. Just so you know, the old Maxtra Hard Water Expert was also for 150 liters and had ion exchangers and the mesh. Brita simply switched all filters to 150 liters now.
