The Axagon PCES-SA4X4 PCIe card adds four independent internal SATA III ports to a desktop computer, with transfer speeds of up to 6 Gb/s. It is based on the ASMedia ASM1164 chipset and supports Hot Plug, NCQ, TRIM and Port Multiplier.

The card uses a two-lane PCIe 3.0 interface and is compatible with PCIe x4, x8 and x16 slots. It supports booting from a connected drive via BIOS or UEFI, while the LED indicators show drive activity. Installation is Plug and Play, with no driver installation required on most operating systems.
