Description

The birch or betula (Betula Pendula/Alba) is a deciduous tree that reaches a height of 20-25 m and requires more light compared to other broadleaf trees. It is cold-resistant and found throughout the northern hemisphere. In Greece, it is located at high altitudes in Northern Greece (Rodopi, Falakro Mountain, Pangaeo, etc.).

COMPOSITION

Recent studies have shown that birch leaves contain at least 33 chemical compounds, the most significant being:

  • polyphenols: phenolcarboxylic acids (2.8%), flavonoids (1.6%), hyperosides (0.4%), quercitrin (0.2%), quercetin (0.2%), p-coumaric acid (0.05%), and sinapic acid (0.002%).
  • triterpenic complexes (11.8%)
  • vitamin C (ascorbic acid)

Plant oil components: sunflower seed oil (Helianthus annuus), birch leaf extract (Betula Pendula/Alba), tocopherols.

USES

  • Birch oil appears to have mild antioxidant properties.
  • Suitable for urinary system disorders such as: infections, inflammation, kidney stones, and acts as a diuretic.
  • Helps with skin problems such as: cellulite, wound and scar healing, alopecia, dandruff, hair loss, eczema, psoriasis.
  • Used to treat bone disorders such as: arthritis, sciatica, and rheumatism.
  • Exhibits significant antifungal activity.
  • Offers stimulation to the nervous, circulatory, digestive, and excretory systems.
  • There is evidence of aid in: allergies, colds, hypercholesterolemia, heart or liver ailments, with protection for the gastrointestinal system.

APPLICATION

  • For fighting cellulite or other skin problems: Apply birch oil with gentle circular motions and massage 2-3 times a day.
  • For muscle pain or arthritis: Mix base oil and Spatholado in a 1:1 ratio and add birch oil at a 10% proportion. Massage 2-3 times a day.

CAUTION!

  • Avoid using during pregnancy.
  • May cause allergic reactions, especially in those sensitive to pollen.
