This trimming scissor is made from Japanese steel 440C, which is martensitic stainless steel with a high chromium and carbon content. It offers high resistance to wear and oxidation in wet environments. Thanks to its hardness of nearly 60 HRC, it allows for excellent edge retention for a longer period, with a hardness between 59 and 61 HRC.
