The light is beautiful and has 3 brightness levels (circular selection) with a button (it requires a bit of observation to find it because it blends into the design. I have used various versions of this flashlight (even mini ones) so I knew what to expect. Overall, it is good and fair for its price in relation to the design. The only (significant) problem I found is that the clip is on the battery cover and it is almost impossible to secure it to a book without opening the cover.
