A cursed teenager saves humanity one soul at a time. D.Gray-man is set in a fantastical 19th century England and tells the story of Allen Walker, a 15-year-old boy wandering the land in search of Innocence. After the Great Flood, Innocence was scattered to unknown parts of the world and is the mysterious substance used to create weapons that eradicate demons known as akuma. As a hereditary exorcist, Walker's main weapon against the akuma is the cross embedded in his red, deformed left hand, which contains Innocence. Not only does it destroy the akuma, but it also allows him to see the akuma hidden within a person's soul! Along with his exorcist allies fighting under the command of the Black Order, Walker leads the battle against the Millennium Earl, the evil being who seeks the destruction of humanity.
