Description & Specifications

The Mathmos Astro lava lamp was designed by Edward Craven Walker, founder of Mathmos and inventor of lava lamps, and has been continuously manufactured in Britain since 1963. Made in Britain from spun metal with a matt black anodised finish, it features black feet and a white cable. The bottle is filled with Mathmos’ unique lava formula, which creates striking patterns in vivid, clear colours.

The halogen bulbs used are specially designed for Mathmos Lava Lamps, directing light and heat towards the bottle. They are intended exclusively for use with lava lamps and are not suitable for household light fittings. They must be plugged into a power outlet to operate. Please note that Lava Lamps are not toys and should be kept out of reach of children under 14.
