Words from life and soul experiences!
Well, I declare it, I write it, and I mean it… In my 45-year journalism career and my entire life, including school essays, I have written millions, perhaps even billions, of words… I admit, however, that those that make up the quiz book on Mundobasket did not come solely from the keyboard, but also stem from my memory and primarily from my soul!
Luck has bestowed upon me, and God has blessed me to have attended nine out of the 19 Basketball World Cups in person, and – given this – a large part of the book is a product of personal experience!
I honestly and sincerely declare, not to brag, but because it comes spontaneously to me, that I created almost all the questions concerning the tournaments from 1986 up to the current event (2023) from memory!
As Christos Sotiropoulos wrote in his foreword, I enjoyed the entire writing process very much, and I am glad that – thanks to the pressure from Dionysis Valerianos and the excellent collaboration of the staff at ELLINOEKDOTIKI – I can share it with you.
I can also sit quietly in the evenings and practice trying to answer the questions, even if this process seems a bit masochistic!
Thank you very much for your attention, enjoy yourselves, and here's to more (such quiz books) in good health!
