The EK-Quantum Velocity² series CPU water blocks incorporate the next-generation cooling engine called OptiFlow. They use a specific combination of mounting pressure and cold plate geometry, tailored for the IHS and die layout of Intel LGA 1700 processors. The low hydraulic flow restriction allows these products to be used in setups with weaker water pumps or lower pump speeds for additional silent operation, while achieving top performance! The precisely machined cold plate is designed to effectively cover the IHS and apply pressure to the die area.
The water blocks of the Velocity² series cover the entire socket, while also complying with Intel's guidelines regarding safe zones.
The cold plate is made of 99.99% pure electrolytic copper of the highest quality, precisely processed for the best possible contact and heat transfer, which is additionally nickel-plated. This version of the water block features a nickel-plated cold plate with a CNC-machined acrylic top and a white acetal protrusion.
The EK-Quantum Velocity² is a product compatible with EK-Matrix7. The EK-Matrix7 is a product raster set to establish new standards. EK adds a new dimension to computer liquid cooling, where the height of the products and the distance between the ports are managed in 7 mm increments. This improves product alignment and reduces the time spent on loop design and tube bending. Through the meticulous design of our products, building a liquid-cooled computer becomes easy and fun, just like playing with building blocks.
The EK-Exact Mount is a patented mounting system designed and manufactured by EK in search of an easy-to-use yet aesthetically pleasing mounting mechanism. It consists of only three pieces - the backplate, the mounting screws, and the water block itself. It screws in from the back, allowing for a uniform and clean aesthetic on the front, without any screws disrupting the harmony of the shape. The system uses pre-tensioned springs hidden at the top of the water block, so with just a few turns of the nuts, the installation is completed and you achieve the exact mounting pressure you need.
This product is compatible with all popular addressable RGB synchronization technologies from all major motherboard manufacturers. The arrow mark on the 3-pin D-RGB LED socket must be aligned with the +5V mark on the D-RGB header. 14 addressable RGB LEDs are hidden under the protruding piece, which acts as a diffuser.
