The ball is excellent for playing both on the beach and in the sea. The right size and weight and, most importantly, it doesn't hurt your hands. You can do "bump" (reception) without worry, even when the ball is wet. The only reason I deduct one star is because, on the first use, the letters from "MIKASA" started to peel off and come away. But this is only visual. For the use I wanted it for, it was perfect and the whole family is absolutely satisfied.
