Easy installation, user-friendly software with many settings options, at a very satisfactory price. I only use it for monitoring (without an SD card for event recording) and the push notifications for motion detection work perfectly. I have placed the camera high up in an indoor space and have enabled motion detection only in the upper corner of a door. This way, while I can have live view from the entire space whenever I want, I only receive push notifications when that specific door opens or closes. If I could ask for any improvement, it would be slightly better clarity in the sound (speech from a distance is not easily discernible, although the sound volume is satisfactory) and slightly better clarity in night vision. I am so satisfied that I will definitely purchase a second one for another space.
Edit: I ended up buying two more cameras for other spaces and purposes. This time, I also purchased SD cards and event recording works perfectly. I also upgraded the cameras' software to the latest version, which allows the same camera to be used by different users with different accounts. This is extremely useful because although you could share the usage with someone else before, you had to have the same username and password. This meant that whoever added a camera to their profile automatically granted access to the other person. Now, this can be configured more rationally, as one person declares the camera in their profile and specifies which other guest can use it, per camera and not the entire profile. Guests have limited functionality in settings, movements, and camera communication, although they still have normal image and notification access.
Edit March 2023: Since I see that my review has positively influenced several future buyers, I feel obliged to provide an update after several years of operation and use. All three cameras continue to work perfectly. However, the same problem occurred with the two cameras I placed in outdoor areas: their SD cards failed and they were no longer able to record. They did not recover even with formatting. It is possible, of course, that the cards themselves were to blame, as I admit they were not the best ones available on the market. But because only two out of the three cards failed, specifically the ones in the sheltered outdoor area, while the third one inside the house still works smoothly, I conclude that the cards are not as protected against moisture and/or heat in outdoor conditions. The manufacturing company is not responsible for this, as it does not advertise the camera for outdoor use, but I felt the need to point it out. It is also indeed annoying that software updates have introduced several features that are only available with a subscription, but on the other hand, I don't think there is any significant functionality that used to be available for free and is now only offered with a subscription. The company is simply trying to make money from old customers by providing any substantial software upgrade only for a fee. Nevertheless, the camera continues to function fully without a subscription (I haven't paid).

Τη χρησιμοποιώ μόνο για παρακολούθηση (χωρίς κάρτα SD για καταγραφή συμβάντων) και οι ειδοποιήσεις push για ανίχνευση κίνηση λειτουργούν άψογα. Έχω τοποθετήσει την κάμερα ψηλά σε εσωτερικό χώρο και έχω ενεργοποιήσει την ανίχνευση κίνησης μόνο στην επάνω γωνία μιας πόρτας. Έτσι ενώ έχω όποτε θελήσω live view από όλο τον χώρο, λαμβάνω push notifications μόνο όταν ανοίγει ή κλείνει η συγκεκριμένη πόρτα. Αν θα μπορούσα να ζητήσω κάποια βελτίωση θα ήταν λίγη μεγαλύτερη καθαρότητα στον ήχο (ομιλία μακριά από την κάμερα δεν διακρίνεται εύκολα, παρόλο που η ένταση του ήχου είναι ικανοποιητική) και λίγη καλύτερη ευκρίνεια στη νυχτερινή λήψη. Είμαι τόσο ικανοποιημένος που σίγουρα θα αγοράσω και δεύτερη για άλλον χώρο.
Edit: Τελικά αγόρασα άλλες δύο κάμερες για άλλους χώρους και χρήσεις. Αυτή τη φορά προμηθεύτηκα και κάρτες SD και η καταγραφή συμβάντων λειτουργεί άψογα. Επίσης αναβάθμισα το λογισμικό των καμερών στην τελευταία έκδοση όπου είναι δυνατή η χρήση της ίδιας κάμερας από διαφορετικούς χρήστες και διαφορετικούς λογαριασμούς. Αυτό είναι εξαιρετικά χρήσιμο γιατί ναι μεν μπορούσες και πριν να μοιράζεσαι τη χρήση με κάποιον άλλον αλλά θα έπρεπε να είχατε κοινά username και passwords. Αυτό σήμαινε ότι όποιος από τους δύο προσέθετε κάποια κάμερα στο δικό του προφίλ αυτόματα αποκτούσε πρόσβαση και ο άλλος. Αυτό τώρα μπορεί να ρυθμίζεται πιο ορθολογικά, αφού ένας δηλώνει την κάμερα στο δικό του προφίλ και θα ορίζει ποιος άλλος guest μπορεί να τη χρησιμοποιεί, ανά κάμερα πλέον και όχι όλο το προφίλ. Απλά οι guests, ενώ έχουν κανονικά εικόνα και ειδοποιήσεις, έχουν περιορισμένες λειτουργίες στις ρυθμίσεις, κινήσεις και ενδοεπικοινωνία της κάμερας.
Edit Μάρτιος 2023: Καθότι η αξιολόγησή μου βλέπω ότι έχει επηρεάσει θετικά αρκετούς μελλοντικούς αγοραστές, οφείλω να επανέλθω με μια επικαιροποίηση μετά από αρκετά έτη λειτουργίας και χρήσης. Και οι 3 κάμερες συνεχίζουν να λειτουργούν άψογα. Όμως στις 2 κάμερες που έχω τοποθετήσει σε εξωτερικούς χώρους συνέβη ακριβώς το ίδιο πρόβλημα: Χάλασαν οι SD cards τους και αδυνατούσαν πλέον να κάνουν εγγραφές. Ούτε με format δεν επανήλθαν. Ενδέχεται βέβαια να έφταιγαν και οι ίδιες οι κάρτες που ομολογώ ότι δεν ήταν και οι καλύτερες που κυκλοφορούν στην αγορά, αλλά επειδή χάλασαν μόνο οι δύο από τις τρεις ίδιες και συγκεκριμένα οι δύο που είναι σε στεγασμένο εξωτερικό χώρο, ενώ η τρίτη που είναι εντός σπιτιού δουλεύει ακόμα απρόσκοπτα, καταλήγω στο πιθανότερο συμπέρασμα ότι οι κάρτες δεν είναι και τόσο προφυλαγμένες από υγρασία ή/και ζέστη σε εξωτερικές συνθήκες. Σε αυτό βέβαια δεν ευθύνεται η εταιρεία κατασκευής αφού δεν διαφημίζει την κάμερα ως εξωτερικού χώρου, αλλά οφείλω να το επισημάνω. Επίσης είναι όντως εκνευριστικό ότι σε software updates που έγιναν έχουν μπει αρκετές λειτουργίες ως διαθέσιμες μόνο με συνδρομή, αλλά από την άλλη δε νομίζω να υπάρχει κάποια σημαντική λειτουργία που να ήταν παλιά διαθέσιμη δωρεάν και τώρα να διατίθεται με συνδρομή. Απλά η εταιρεία προσπαθεί να βγάλει χρήματα από παλιούς πελάτες δίνοντάς τους οποιοδήποτε ουσιαστικό software upgrade μόνο επί πληρωμή. Πάντως η κάμερα συνεχίζει να είναι πλήρως λειτουργική χωρίς συνδρομή (εγώ δεν έχω πληρώσει).
It is quite cheap, but no one prepares you for what you get with this money.
1. The camera is designed to work with the subscription service TAPO Care. Privacy zones, motion tracking, person detection, and baby crying detection do not work unless you pay extra every month.
2. It cannot record to both the SD card and NVR, only one of the two (in comparison, the first Wyze cameras could do it just fine years ago).
3. Unfortunately, it comes with a custom 9v power supply, not USB or USB-C. At least it has a long cable.
4. It has a slightly small field of view, but I did not lower the rating for that.
5. It does not allow settings for static IP.
6. Without TAPO Care active and without accessing the app, the camera made countless requests to TP-Link. The image is less than a week old since installation.
7. The time can only be set automatically, with the camera needing internet access. So you cannot completely cut off internet access (e.g., with MAC Address) because the camera will show that it is living in 2021...
It also has positives, of course:
It is ONVIF compatible.
It works with NVR (including Synology NVR, home assistant, and others).
It is really, really cheap compared to the competition, now we know the reason.

It does what it says. The only negative (which was not obvious in the description) is that it only connects to 2.4GHz wifi. To connect to the router, I had to disable the 5GHz. I don't know if the same applies to all routers.
Other than that, it is very user-friendly, easy to use, and all the features work without any problems.

Από άποψη ποιότητας εικόνας είναι πάρα πολύ καλή. Έχει όμως ένα τεράστιο μειονεκτικά που δεν αναφέρεται πουθενά. Δεν σου παρέχει συνεχόμενη live εικόνα. Στα 5 λεπτά σταματάει η μετάδοση και σου ζητάει να πατήσεις ξανά για να συνδεθείτε όπου και επιστρέφει στην αρχική εικόνα χωρίς να κρατάει τις ρυθμίσεις ζουμ που είχες κάνει. Αγοράστηκε για να βλέπουμε το μωρό σαν μια φθηνή λύση μέχρι να μας επιστραφεί η άλλη κάμερα με μόνιτορ που είχαμε λόγω επισκευής αλλά ήταν πάρα πολύ κακή επιλογή
2 were purchased to be used together with 4 other Hikvision cameras in a Custom NVR based on Raspberry PI 5 + Hailo 8 + Frigate. Very good performance so far. A few lost frames, which is logical due to wifi, but without affecting the system.
With my configuration I can have remote access via the tapo app (very good app) and recording (local without using the SD) and detection via frigate.

Με το configuration μου μπορώ να έχω απομακρυσμένη πρόσβαση μέσω tapo app (πολύ καλό app) και recording (local χωρίς την χρήση της SD) και detection μέσω frigate.

Την αγόρασα μαζί με μια C310 που έχω στην μπροστινή μεριά του σπιτιού, έχω να πω ότι παρόλο που είναι πολύ μακριά από το router και πιάνει μια γραμμή σήματος λειτουργεί κανονικά, αυτό μου εντυπωσίασε είναι η ποιότητα κατασκευής της, την έχω στο μπαλκόνι στο πίσω μέρος του σπιτιού, έχει φάει πολύ βροχή και έχει πέσει και 5 φορές από ύψος δύο ορόφων και λειτουργεί ακόμα, αν μπορούσα να να βάλω παραπάνω αστέρια θα έβαζα.

Ξαναέπεσε μετά από δυνατό αέρα έγινε κομμάτια, την συναρμολόγησα κυριολεκτικά σαν Lego και συνεχίζει να λειτουργεί κανονικά , προφανώς κάποια στιγμή θα την βίδωσω για να σταματήσει να πέφτει αλλά έχει ήδη βγάλει τα λεφτά της.

Easy installation, user-friendly software with many settings options, at a very satisfactory price. I only use it for monitoring (without an SD card for event recording) and the push notifications for motion detection work perfectly. I have placed the camera high up in an indoor space and have enabled motion detection only in the upper corner of a door. This way, while I can have live view from the entire space whenever I want, I only receive push notifications when that specific door opens or closes. If I could ask for any improvement, it would be slightly better clarity in the sound (speech from a distance is not easily discernible, although the sound volume is satisfactory) and slightly better clarity in night vision. I am so satisfied that I will definitely purchase a second one for another space.
Edit: I ended up buying two more cameras for other spaces and purposes. This time, I also purchased SD cards and event recording works perfectly. I also upgraded the cameras' software to the latest version, which allows the same camera to be used by different users with different accounts. This is extremely useful because although you could share the usage with someone else before, you had to have the same username and password. This meant that whoever added a camera to their profile automatically granted access to the other person. Edit March 2023: Since I see that my review has positively influenced several future buyers, I feel obliged to provide an update after several years of operation and use. All three cameras continue to work perfectly. However, the same problem occurred with the two cameras I placed in outdoor areas: their SD cards failed and they were no longer able to record. They did not recover even with formatting. It is possible, of course, that the cards themselves were to blame, as I admit they were not the best ones available on the market. But because only two out of the three cards failed, specifically the ones in the sheltered outdoor area, while the third one inside the house still works smoothly, I conclude that the cards are not as protected against moisture and/or heat in outdoor conditions. The manufacturing company is not responsible for this, as it does not advertise the camera for outdoor use, but I felt the need to point it out. It is also indeed annoying that software updates have introduced several features that are only available with a subscription, but on the other hand, I don't think there is any significant functionality that used to be available for free and is now only offered with a subscription. The company is simply trying to make money from old customers by providing any substantial software upgrade only for a fee. Nevertheless, the camera continues to function fully without a subscription (I haven't paid).

Αν θα μπορούσα να ζητήσω κάποια βελτίωση θα ήταν λίγη μεγαλύτερη καθαρότητα στον ήχο (ομιλία μακριά από την κάμερα δεν διακρίνεται εύκολα, παρόλο που η ένταση του ήχου είναι ικανοποιητική) και λίγη καλύτερη ευκρίνεια στη νυχτερινή λήψη. Είμαι τόσο ικανοποιημένος που σίγουρα θα αγοράσω και δεύτερη για άλλον χώρο.
Edit: Τελικά αγόρασα άλλες δύο κάμερες για άλλους χώρους και χρήσεις. Αυτή τη φορά προμηθεύτηκα και κάρτες SD και η καταγραφή συμβάντων λειτουργεί άψογα. Επίσης αναβάθμισα το λογισμικό των καμερών στην τελευταία έκδοση όπου είναι δυνατή η χρήση της ίδιας κάμερας από διαφορετικούς χρήστες και διαφορετικούς λογαριασμούς. Αυτό είναι εξαιρετικά χρήσιμο γιατί ναι μεν μπορούσες και πριν να μοιράζεσαι τη χρήση με κάποιον άλλον αλλά θα έπρεπε να είχατε κοινά username και passwords. Αυτό σήμαινε ότι όποιος από τους δύο προσέθετε κάποια κάμερα στο δικό του προφίλ αυτόματα αποκτούσε πρόσβαση και ο άλλος. Αυτό τώρα μπορεί να ρυθμίζεται πιο ορθολογικά, αφού ένας δηλώνει την κάμερα στο δικό του προφίλ και θα ορίζει ποιος άλλος guest μπορεί να τη χρησιμοποιεί, ανά κάμερα πλέον και όχι όλο το προφίλ. Απλά οι guests, ενώ έχουν κανονικά εικόνα και ειδοποιήσεις, έχουν περιορισμένες λειτουργίες στις ρυθμίσεις, κινήσεις και ενδοεπικοινωνία της κάμερας.
Edit Μάρτιος 2023: Καθότι η αξιολόγησή μου βλέπω ότι έχει επηρεάσει θετικά αρκετούς μελλοντικούς αγοραστές, οφείλω να επανέλθω με μια επικαιροποίηση μετά από αρκετά έτη λειτουργίας και χρήσης. Και οι 3 κάμερες συνεχίζουν να λειτουργούν άψογα. Όμως στις 2 κάμερες που έχω τοποθετήσει σε εξωτερικούς χώρους συνέβη ακριβώς το ίδιο πρόβλημα: Χάλασαν οι SD cards τους και αδυνατούσαν πλέον να κάνουν εγγραφές. Ούτε με format δεν επανήλθαν. Ενδέχεται βέβαια να έφταιγαν και οι ίδιες οι κάρτες που ομολογώ ότι δεν ήταν και οι καλύτερες που κυκλοφορούν στην αγορά, αλλά επειδή χάλασαν μόνο οι δύο από τις τρεις ίδιες και συγκεκριμένα οι δύο που είναι σε στεγασμένο εξωτερικό χώρο, ενώ η τρίτη που είναι εντός σπιτιού δουλεύει ακόμα απρόσκοπτα, καταλήγω στο πιθανότερο συμπέρασμα ότι οι κάρτες δεν είναι και τόσο προφυλαγμένες από υγρασία ή/και ζέστη σε εξωτερικές συνθήκες. Σε αυτό βέβαια δεν ευθύνεται η εταιρεία κατασκευής αφού δεν διαφημίζει την κάμερα ως εξωτερικού χώρου, αλλά οφείλω να το επισημάνω. Επίσης είναι όντως εκνευριστικό ότι σε software updates που έγιναν έχουν μπει αρκετές λειτουργίες ως διαθέσιμες μόνο με συνδρομή, αλλά από την άλλη δε νομίζω να υπάρχει κάποια σημαντική λειτουργία που να ήταν παλιά διαθέσιμη δωρεάν και τώρα να διατίθεται με συνδρομή. Απλά η εταιρεία προσπαθεί να βγάλει χρήματα από παλιούς πελάτες δίνοντάς τους οποιοδήποτε ουσιαστικό software upgrade μόνο επί πληρωμή. 1. The camera is designed to work with the subscription service TAPO Care. Privacy zones, motion tracking, person detection, and baby crying detection do not work unless you pay extra every month.
2. It cannot record to both the SD card and NVR, only one of the two (in comparison, the first Wyze cameras could do it just fine years ago).
3. Unfortunately, it comes with a custom 9v power supply, not USB or USB-C. At least it has a long cable.
4. It has a slightly small field of view, but I did not lower the rating for that.
5. It does not allow settings for static IP.
6. Without TAPO Care active and without accessing the app, the camera made countless requests to TP-Link. The image is less than a week old since installation.
7. The time can only be set automatically, with the camera needing internet access. So you cannot completely cut off internet access (e.g., with MAC Address) because the camera will show that it is living in 2021...
It also has positives, of course:

I bought it to watch my cat when I’m away from home. Excellent, I have no words! I've had it for almost 4 years, it's a star!!! It never disconnects from the router, it has AMAZING RESOLUTION and if you want to connect it to another network, it's also a piece of cake.

Good for its price but with some issues: 1) you don't have the right to go to another cloud, if you connect from another network you have some minor issues, after an upgrade it froze for 2 days and then came back by itself, it's not with a USB cable which would be convenient, I would expect a wider viewing angle. Other than that, from its app you can find the RSTP and you can use another app if you want

Από άποψη ποιότητας εικόνας είναι πάρα πολύ καλή. Έχει όμως ένα τεράστιο μειονεκτικά που δεν αναφέρεται πουθενά. Δεν σου παρέχει συνεχόμενη live εικόνα. Στα 5 λεπτά σταματάει η μετάδοση και σου ζητάει να πατήσεις ξανά για να συνδεθείτε όπου και επιστρέφει στην αρχική εικόνα χωρίς να κρατάει τις ρυθμίσεις ζουμ που είχες κάνει. Αγοράστηκε για να βλέπουμε το μωρό σαν μια φθηνή λύση μέχρι να μας επιστραφεί η άλλη κάμερα με μόνιτορ που είχαμε λόγω επισκευής αλλά ήταν πάρα πολύ κακή επιλογή
2 were purchased to be used together with 4 other Hikvision cameras in a Custom NVR based on Raspberry PI 5 + Hailo 8 + Frigate. Very good performance so far. A few lost frames, which is logical due to wifi, but without affecting the system.
With my configuration I can have remote access via the tapo app (very good app) and recording (local without using the SD) and detection via frigate.
Αγοράστηκαν 2 για να χρησιμοποιηθούν μαζί με άλλες 4 Hikvision σε ένα Custom NVR βασισμένο σε Raspberry PI 5 + Hailo 8 + Frigate. Πάρα πολύ καλή συμπεριφορά μέχρι στιγμής. Κάποια λίγα lost frames, κάτι που είναι λογικό λόγω wifi, αλλά χωρίς επίδραση στο σύστημα.

I bought it together with a C310 that I have at the front of the house, I have to say that even though it is very far from the router and only gets one signal bar, it works fine. What impressed me is its build quality; I have it on the balcony at the back of the house, it has endured a lot of rain and has fallen five times from a height of two floors and it still works. Την αγόρασα μαζί με μια C310 που έχω στην μπροστινή μεριά του σπιτιού, έχω να πω ότι παρόλο που είναι πολύ μακριά από το router και πιάνει μια γραμμή σήματος λειτουργεί κανονικά, αυτό μου εντυπωσίασε είναι η ποιότητα κατασκευής της, την έχω στο μπαλκόνι στο πίσω μέρος του σπιτιού, έχει φάει πολύ βροχή και έχει πέσει και 5 φορές από ύψος δύο ορόφων και λειτουργεί ακόμα, αν μπορούσα να να βάλω παραπάνω αστέρια θα έβαζα.

Ξαναέπεσε μετά από δυνατό αέρα έγινε κομμάτια, την συναρμολόγησα κυριολεκτικά σαν Lego και συνεχίζει να λειτουργεί κανονικά , προφανώς κάποια στιγμή θα την βίδωσω για να σταματήσει να πέφτει αλλά έχει ήδη βγάλει τα λεφτά της.

It works just fine and communicates with the Tapo app. No connection problems. It is silent when the camera rotates. Very good sound as well as image, day and night.

It does what it says. The only negative (which was not obvious in the description) is that it only connects to 2.4GHz wifi. To connect to the router, I had to disable the 5GHz. I don't know if the same applies to all routers.
Other than that, it is very user-friendly, easy to use, and all the features work without any problems.

πολύ καλη κάμερα με περιστροφή να μπορεις να μιλήσεις και να ακούς εννοείται και επειδή εχω και μωρακι και το αφήνω σε νταντά εχει και προειδοποίηση κλαματος και με βοηθαει πολύ. το κακό ειναι οτι δεν αποθηκεύει τιποτα πρέπει να βάλεις εξωτερική καρτα μνήμης ή να πληρώσεις cloud.
