  • The rechargeable battery lasts for a short period of time (2 - 3 hours), then it needs recharging for several hours. The leaflet that comes with it is hard to understand and has very small letters. Not all charging cables fit, e.g., my phone's cable cannot charge it. I have put it aside.

Very good quality from AKAI, long autonomy of the rechargeable sealed 1200 mAh battery. Easy to use and very functional. Positive feature is the BT, USB type C connection for external power supply either with a power bank or a simple mobile charger. Personally, I use it only on FM, with many presets and with automatic or manual tuning. TF micro SD input, USB input for connecting an external source to listen to songs, and headphone jack. If I could, I would give it 6 stars!!!

EDITED Beautiful radio with useful options, but it's a matter of whether you like it or not due to some quirks...
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ur3A4L4y_4c
    - Every 15 seconds, the clock permanently appears until a button is pressed, and then again after 15" whether it's on radio or playing music
    - Upon turning on, it always starts the volume at 4 (16 max)
    - When off, the screen/time turns off to save battery; if left on, the brightness dims
    - The memories are 30 on FM, not 50, but still, that's a lot (30 fm, 20 mw, 20 sw1, 20 sw2 totaling 90, NOT 110 as stated) can be manually arranged in any order we want
    - MW reception is satisfactory, but the internal medium ferrite is vertical; for good reception, the radio needs to be laid down
    - FM easily picks up all local stations in a difficult mountainous area with no problem, but because it states High Sensitivity, it is NOT; the apr-500 pocket radio picks up weak stations from afar, while this one barely hears a small noise like interference and needs a better signal to come through
    - SW reception is good, picking up strong signals even with the antenna closed
    - The SD, BT, USB from the few portable ones that offer 3 playback options work quite well...
    - The 1200mah battery is the 18650, lasts about 10-12 hours at medium volume, it's glued and clipped inside, so since it's not external, it's good to recharge it immediately after each use to keep it full for the next use (2 hours from completely empty)
    - It can play while charging simultaneously, but charging is slow
    - When the battery bar starts to lower, it needs charging; it doesn't last that long
    - Speaker quality is acceptable, volume is okay, lighting is good
    - Setting to turn off by itself from 15-90 minutes
    - Good alarm clock, options for beep/radio/play, it keeps ringing until snooze is pressed, volume option, the beep gradually increases in volume which might be useful if others are sleeping nearby
EDIT2 When off, if the PRОG button is pressed for 5 seconds, it resets to factory settings
In the photo, the radio is on FM showing the time permanently; at first, I didn't like it, but if it stays on a station like Era Sport or for news/music, which is how I ultimately use this one, I find it convenient with the time continuously displayed; it's like a clock
