The Microconnect S/FTP Cat.8.1 network cable features aluminium foil shielding around each twisted pair, as well as overall foil shielding to reduce interference and crosstalk between pairs. Its LSZH sheath produces low smoke and contains no halogens, while both ends are fitted with RJ45 connectors. It is suitable for short-distance Ethernet connections and supports 10GBASE-T, 25GBASE-T and 40GBASE-T networks.

It supports bandwidths of up to 2000 MHz, is backward compatible with Cat7, Cat6a, Cat6 and Cat5e, and is certified for PoE++ up to 100 W. It can connect switches, routers, NAS devices, servers, patch panels and other network equipment.
