Better than Marvis in texture. I am only comparing those with xylitol in the ingredients and these two are essentially the only ones on the market with a variety of types. Also, cheaper.

For a while now, I've been looking for a vegan and cruelty-free toothpaste at a reasonable price, effective for fresh breath, without eugenol (due to the risk of hepatotoxicity. The ingredient eugenol is toxic to cells even at the low percentage of 0.03%).

This one from Jordan indeed leaves a fresh breath after brushing for a long time (don't believe the 12 hours claim, that's not possible) because it contains zinc gluconate, an ingredient that directly binds with volatile sulfur compounds and prevents them from being released from your mouth. (Note: If it contained zinc chloride, it would be even more effective against halitosis).

Scientific source for the effectiveness of zinc against bad breath: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kH4h8_t3_Dw

Additionally, it's not expensive: 2.90 - 3.18 euros for 75ml. For reference, the cheapest vegan one currently available with 1450ppm sodium fluoride is the one from Lidl at 0.89 euros (though it comes in a larger quantity than 75ml).

    Vegan and cruelty-free,

Finally, be careful, never use it on dogs because it contains 1450 ppm sodium fluoride and xylitol.

    Update 30.04.2025
Batch 178548 with an expiration date of 10/2026 seems to be defective. Upon opening the aluminum seal, a clear oil runs from the tube and it has no burning taste at all. This sensation of a cool burn that is characteristic of the success of this toothpaste... is NOT present at all in this particular batch.

If they have changed the formulation, unfortunately, it no longer differs from very cheap conventional ones that clean and contain fluoride but suffer from taste and fresh breath issues.

Batches with expiration dates before 10/2026 (e.g., batch 179327 with an expiration date of 3/2026) have absolutely no problems. They remain perfectly fresh in taste both during brushing and after brushing, regarding the breath they leave. The problem is with those batches expiring on 10/2026. In fact, if the formulation has changed, then the subsequent ones, with expiration dates after 10/2026, will also have issues.
