Description

PWM charge controller 24V 60A suitable for installations up to 60A at 24V. This is a PWM type. PWM charge controllers simply connect the photovoltaic panel to the battery (12/24/48V), acting as simple switches. When the switch closes, the voltage of the panel is equalized with that of the battery.

The result is that the voltage of the array that the PWM controller can accept depends on the voltage of the battery and is small, usually one to two panels of 100/200Wp in series, with correspondingly small charging current compared to the capabilities of an MPPT charge controller. PWM charge controllers are ideal for smaller systems where system efficiency is not as significant a factor and for solar collectors with a maximum power voltage (Vmp) up to 18V for charging a 12V battery.
