The Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged Day One Edition racing game for PS4 includes the full game and two vehicle packs. It offers access to more than 130 vehicles, including Hot Wheels Originals, Hot Wheels Monster Trucks, vehicles from the world of entertainment, motorcycles and ATVs. The Day One Edition includes the Rust and Fast and Unstoppables packs, each with two vehicles.

Races take place across five new locations, where grass, sand and other surfaces affect vehicle handling. Along with Drift and Boost, Lateral Dash and Single or Double Jump moves can be used to collide with opponents, avoid obstacles and find shortcuts. The campaign mode features an original story with races and challenges, and there are also various offline and online game modes. Track and vehicle livery editors are also included, as well as an upgrade to the digital PS5 version.
