Bay, scientifically known as Laurus nobilis L. (noble bay), is an aromatic plant of the Lauraceae family, endemic to Asia, Mediterranean countries, and Southern Europe. In Greece, apart from being wild, Apollo's bay is also cultivated, known by the popular names vagia, bay, laurel, etc.
