The Bluesound Node X streamer adds music streaming capabilities to a stereo amplifier, AV receiver or active speakers. The ESS Sabre DAC supports 24-bit/192 kHz audio processing, while the headphone amplifier with THX AAA technology drives wired headphones through a 6.35 mm jack. The BluOS Controller app provides access to internet radio stations, music services and a local digital library.

Network connectivity is available via dual-band Wi-Fi or Gigabit Ethernet, while Bluetooth aptX HD supports two-way streaming and reception. With AirPlay 2 and the BluOS Controller app, the device can be integrated into a multi-room system with up to 64 BluOS devices. It features touch controls on the top panel and can also be controlled via the app, voice assistants or an infrared remote control.
