The Proskit MT-1708 digital multimeter measures AC/DC voltage and current, resistance, diodes, capacitance, frequency, duty cycle, and temperature. True RMS measurement is available for AC voltage and current at frequencies of 45–65 Hz. It features an NCV sensor for contactless voltage detection, which beeps and flashes according to the strength of the AC voltage.

The LCD has a backlight and is accompanied by an LED flashlight, while the automatic voltage chart records measurement changes over time. The multimeter also features a data hold function, an analog bar, and a low battery indicator. Temperature is measured using a Type K thermocouple.
