In nature, Bucephalandra typically grows on rocks and wood in rivers and streams, just like Anubias.
Bucephalandra 'Bukit Kalem' is an easy, slow-growing plant that does not thrive in bright light. Its green leaves are 2cm wide and 5cm long with wavy edges, displaying a pattern of whitish spots on its leaves. If planted in substrate, the rhizome should not be completely covered as this can cause rot and death of the plant.
