Lens hoods protect your lenses from impacts as well as the creation of flares from light sources that can ruin your image.

Designed for use with built-in or interchangeable SLR lenses with specific filter threads. It is optimized to provide coverage for wide-angle or telephoto zoom lenses. Lens hoods are primarily designed to prevent unwanted stray light from entering the lens, extending and shading the edge of the lens. Additionally, because the edge of the lens is extended, it offers extra protection from accidental knocks.
