Conditions in the aquarium:

• Temperature: 20–28 °C (can tolerate lower, down to ~15 °C)
• pH: 5.5–7.5
• GH: 1–10 °dGH
• Lighting: Low to moderate (does not require much light)
• CO2: Not necessary, but enhances growth
• Water flow: Mild to moderate (flow helps prevent dirt and algae buildup)

Flame Moss is ideal for aquariums with large predatory fish (e.g. Cichla, Arowana, Hydrocynus) because it does not get uprooted. It can be placed in pieces tied to heavy stones and will stay in place.
