Description

Description

The Trident Z5 Neo RGB DDR5 RAM is aimed at demanding computer users, such as gamers, video and image processing professionals, designers, and those who require high performance from their computer.

This particular series of Trident Z5 Neo memory is specifically designed to operate in AMD Ryzen systems and offers ideal performance and stability. However, they can also be used in Intel systems.

DDR5

DDR5 is the fourth generation of RAM technology for computers. It replaces DDR4 and offers increased speeds and capacity.

It offers operating speeds from 3200MT/s to 12600MT/s, response time (CAS Latency) from CL 28 to CL 48, while its capacity has increased up to 64GB per memory unit.

For speed (MT/s) and capacity (GB), the larger size we choose, the better performance we will have in our system, while for response time (CL), we want the smallest size for the speed (MT/s) we have chosen.

The above characteristics should be compatible with the specifications of our motherboard.

The Trident Z5 Neo RGB provides a speed of 6400MT/s, with CL32 and 24 GB per memory unit.

Compatibility

DDR5 technology is compatible with specific motherboards and processors. Indicatively, DDR5 is compatible with Alder Lake, Raptor Lake, and the latest Intel processors, as well as AMD Ryzen 7000 Series processors.

However, for compatibility with your motherboard, you need to ensure that your motherboard supports DDR5 technology from the manufacturer. Compatibility depends on the processor platform and the type of motherboard you are using.

XMP & EXPO

XMP & EXPO is a technology that allows us to increase the frequency and performance of our computer's memory without the need for manual adjustments. (XMP/ EXPO) is easily activated from the BIOS, is available on certain RAM memories, and is supported by certain motherboards.

The Trident Z5 Neo RGB has (XMP 3.0/ EXPO) profiles with performances:

  • Speed (XMP 3.0/EXPO): 6400 MT/s
  • CAS Latency (XMP 3.0/EXPO): 32-39-39-102
  • Voltage (XMP 3.0/EXPO): 1.35V

RGB Lighting

The RGB lighting in the Trident Z5 Neo RGB series offers all the means and functions to create a unique and impressive look for your computer.

You can achieve this either through the software provided by the company, Trident Z Lighting Control, or with compatibility in Sync Up software provided by motherboard companies. The advantage of Sync Up is that we can synchronize the RGB lighting of the entire computer.

The Trident Z is compatible with Asus Aura, Gigabyte RGB Fusion, MSI Mystic Light, and ASRock Polychrome Sync software.

Cooling & Design

Premium Dual-Texture Heatspreader Design

The aluminum construction material combined with the design inspired by supercars helps to keep the memory and the entire computer at a fairly low temperature even during the most demanding operations.

The memory played directly on XMP on a Z790 motherboard. The tRas, tRC, and secondary timings tighten quite nicely with a little extra power, so if you're in the mood for overclocking, you'll have a ball. The only slightly disappointing thing is the RGB lights, they're slightly minimalist and not very bright. If you're not interested in the lights, it's a 5-star choice.
