Description

The Romed plaster bandage 7.5cm x 3m POP75x300 consists of a rigid fabric and is used after the immobilization of fractures, orthopedic surgical procedures, or corrections. It enhances the application of splints and molds.

It is soaked in water for 3-4 minutes and turns into plaster. It absorbs quickly, evenly, and takes on a creamy texture. It consists of 17 strands of woven gauze and porous plaster made from calcium sulfate. The bandage demonstrates minimal plaster loss while the rich creamy texture allows for easy handling. The mold is safe for transport after 30 minutes. It dries completely after 12-24 hours.

Recommended water temperature is 20-25 degrees Celsius.

Plaster bandage and application

The orthopedic plaster is a shell that encloses a limb to stabilize and hold anatomical structures, most often a broken bone in place until healing is confirmed. It functions similarly to a splint. Plaster bandages consist of a cotton bandage that has been combined with plaster of Paris, which hardens after being wet.

Plaster bandages are widely used in traumatology and orthopedics and are employed to maintain bone and joint fragments in the given position.

Ideal for surgical procedures and orthopedic corrections that treat conditions of the joints and bones, aiding the healing process. Very creamy and elastic when molded, it can be easily adjusted and is safe and easy to use.
