The Yato YT-73137 digital network cable tester consists of a transmitter and a receiver, and is used for testing and tracing cables. The transmitter connects to the cable and sends a signal at a known frequency, which the receiver picks up wirelessly. It checks the RJ45 wiring sequence and detects open circuits and short circuits, while also allowing you to trace the cable route.

The signal-tracking sensitivity and volume can be adjusted. The receiver features a jack for the included headphones, a low-battery indicator, a flashlight, and an LED display. To locate cables inside walls, the cable being tested must not be connected to mains power.
