In some places the past never dies.
1940 – The orphaned Anna seeks refuge in a Catholic monastery on the other side of the island where she was born and raised. Despite her initial hesitation, she is optimistic that she has found a new family in the faces of the monks. Soon, she discovers that behind the kind faces of the inhabitants of the monastery of the Lady of Angels lie dark secrets that threaten her life and sanity.
1996 – Emma struggles to cope while raising her daughter alone, drowning in debt and despair. When she learns that a man she has never met left a monastery in a distant island in his will, she believes it is the miracle she has been asking for. However, upon arriving there, she realizes that nothing is as she thought and that darkness lurks in the corridors of the cursed monastery since all its inhabitants mysteriously vanished one night about half a century ago.
Today – A mummified corpse is discovered in the middle of a thicket buried with brambles, resembling a fallen angel, awakening horrible memories from the past and causing the locals to whisper again and again the same phrase: The Lady of Angels!
Ultimately, in some places the past never dies.
