Through the dialogue of a father with his children, this book attempts to speak to the young about the junta and the Polytechnic uprising in a simple and understandable way. It highlights the criminal nature of the dictatorship from 1967 to 1974, which imprisoned, beat, tortured, exiled, and sometimes murdered every person who disagreed with it or who was thought to disagree.

It also showcases the peaceful resistance of the students against this violent and inhumane regime, culminating in the uprising of the Polytechnic. The resistance against a destructive and totalitarian regime, which abolishes democracy and deprives its citizens of freedom, requires courage, dignity, and selflessness.

It is a moral stance that demands social sensitivity and is inspired by a sense of freedom. The students fought for the human rights of all citizens of our homeland. They fought for a better future. Among them was the author of the book.
