I bought it for use as a second screen on a PC, not as a portable solution. Usually, larger screens are used for this purpose, but I don't have much available space for something bigger.

My main monitor is 23.8" 1440p, the 15.6" 1080p is relatively close in terms of DPI. I really wanted the 144hz even for the secondary monitor and the options for a small monitor with 144hz, IPS, 1080p were very few.

My main monitor is the AOC Q24G2A/BK, it's the same manufacturer and IPS as the AOC 16G3, so apart from brightness, I expected them not to have much difference. 100% brightness on the 16G3 is equivalent to about 80% brightness on the Q24G2A. The colors are also a bit worse; no matter how much I tried to calibrate them to match, the result, while satisfactory, is not perfect.

Along with the monitor comes a good USBC-USBC cable, and an HDMI-mHDMI, the power supply is similar to a laptop charger. A VESA adapter is included that makes the 50x50 of the monitor suitable for 75x75 and 100x100, it is not mentioned anywhere and it is very useful since most mounts do not support 50x50, you don't need to buy a separate adapter.

I would recommend the monitor as a secondary to people who have a 24" 1440p/4k main monitor but not to those with 27" and above, 15.6" is not enough, you need 21" or even 24" to accompany a 27"+ monitor. I am satisfied with my purchase for the use I make.

As a portable, I think it's a big hassle to carry the power supply and cables everywhere, but for some it may be necessary.

    * The stand I use is the Brateck LDT67-T01, the minimum height is about 13cm from the desk to the bottom of the monitor
