You are the dark Overlord and the ceremony is complete. At your command, the Covil emerges. A living and breathing castle now desecrated by the crystals of greed. Hidden within its treasures is the gateway to the dark lands where countless hordes of chaotic beings have been enslaved for a long time. This time you will have your revenge.

In Covil: The Dark Overlords, you will compete for dominance over the areas surrounding an isolated city. Each player controls a Dark Overlord with unique powers and countless armies of minions to "defend the world from hostile hordes" and bring "peace and security to the regions" — for a price, of course!

The game consists of 4 days, each divided into 3 phases:

  • Phase 1: Morning (Troop Summoning)
  • Phase 2: Afternoon (Action Execution)
  • Phase 3: Night (Dominance and Cleanup)

At the end of the fourth night phase, the game ends. The player with the most victory points wins.
