Description

Description

Silent power supply, without detachable cables, ensuring stable operation and safety against power fluctuations, with 80 PLUS Bronze certification and a self-regulating 120mm fan.

80 PLUS Bronze

It has the 80 PLUS Bronze certification, which means it offers clean power that reaches 80% of its total efficiency.

Thermally controlled fan

The use of a thermally controlled fan makes the CX series almost silent during normal operation, and the large 120 mm diameter reduces noise even when pushing your system hard.

Protection

Because voltage fluctuations can be fatal for the operation of the computer, the power supply provides comprehensive protection against short circuits (Short Circuit Protection/Over Current), overvoltages (Over Voltage/Power Protection), and voltage drops (Under Voltage Protection) of the current.

Active PFC

Active PFC (Power Factor Correction) ensures reliable and stable voltage, to protect your devices from problems and fluctuations.

In Fortnite, there is a squeaking noise inside, I have an i5 14400 and RX 7600 and I had to make some adjustments to the graphics card so that this squeaking wouldn't be so loud. I read that it's relatively normal because that's how the coils behave due to the fps and the sudden rise and fall of the current. In a silent system it will be heard, but in one where the fans are audible, it might not be noticeable. In another system I have with a different power supply, nothing can be heard, so 3 stars from me.

Coming from a Corsair CX 600 that worked flawlessly for 15 years and still works, I am optimistic that this one will also prove reliable. It is completely silent. The problem is with the SATA cables. It only has one row of SATA cables and they are so close to each other (less than 5 cm apart) that it is impossible to connect all the devices together. For example, I connected the HDD and a SATA SSD, but the cable doesn't reach far enough for the SSD to fit in its slot and it hangs in the air. And the DVD drive, which is 5 centimeters higher up, can't be connected at all and I have it connected with a SATA extension, with all that this entails. With the old Corsair I had no such problem, all the cables were long enough and even had extra length. UNACCEPTABLE!

To the fanboys who felt I insulted their company, go get a Corsair tattoo on your forehead. The SATA cables are too close together, that's just how it is. I will follow up with photos.

  • It's been great so far after a month of use. I'll keep you updated when it comes to durability, but I'd expect a quality brand like Corsair to deliver on that department.

With Corsair you can't go wrong. Especially when you have expensive specs in your computer, the first thing you need to ensure is their safety. I recommend this particular power supply so you can have peace of mind that it won't damage your graphics card or anything else, meaning it is reliable. It was purchased at the price of 67 euros and honestly, power supplies like this are a must because you can trust them for the specs you have with your eyes closed, managing the power to every part of the computer perfectly!

Very good, the only negative perhaps is that it has made my computer shut down strangely two or three times, but these in the 8 months that I've had it haven't worried me enough to look into it.

It is perfect, silent, and for those who ask, it supports graphics cards with both 6-pin and 8-pin. Additionally, there are cables available for 2 graphics cards.
