With the machine (stock version) I only made 3 coffees, since I didn't buy it with the intention of drinking coffee with the current settings. I changed the portafilter to a bottomless one with a non-pressurized basket (for the dimensions you want, there is only one option available, it's of good quality and together with customs it will cost you about €53 from edesia espress). I also changed the spring in the OPV to lower the pressure from 15 bar to 9. You can find springs everywhere. For me, the 3 springs cost about €9. The replacement is super easy. These, combined with an Adler AD4450 grinder set to level 5, allow me to drink top-level coffee. I should note that... the edesia portafilter I mentioned says 14g capacity but I put 18g in it without any problem, I extract in 25 seconds and the coffee is f***ing great. It just needs some experimentation with tamping, as with too much tamping you don't get enough coffee and with too little you don't get the flavor. Also, the tamper seems like they got it from Jumbo but ok, nobody's perfect. Hope I helped!!!!
Με τη μηχανή (μαμά έκδοση) έφτιαξα 3 καφέδες μόνο, καθώς δεν την αγόρασα με σκοπό να πίνω καφέ με τις παρούσες ρυθμίσεις. Άλλαξα portafilter σε bottomless με non presurised καλάθι (στις διαστάσεις που θέλετε κυκλοφορεί μόνο μια επιλογή, είναι ποιοτική και μαζί με τελωνείο θα σας βγει περίπου στα 53€ από το edesia espress). Επίσης άλλαξα και ελατήριο στην OPV για να κατέβει η πίεση από τα 15 bar στα 9. Ελατήρια θα βρείτε παντού. Εμένα μου κόστισαν τα 3 ελατήρια γύρω στα 9 €. Η αντικατάσταση είναι πανευκολη. Αυτά και σε συνδυασμό μύλο άλεσης Adler AD4450 με άλεση στο επίπεδο 5 πίνω καφέ επιπέδου. Να σημειώσω ότι....το portafilter της edesia που ανέφερα γράφει 14γρ χωρητικότητα αλλά εγώ του βάζω 18 γρ χωρίς κανένα πρόβλημα, εκχυλιζω στα 25 δευτερόλεπτα και ο καφές γαμ**". Θέλει μόνο πειραματισμό στο πάτημα, καθώς με πολύ πάτημα δεν βγάζει επαρκή ποσότητα καφέ και με λίγο δεν πιάνεις γεύση. Επίσης το ταμπερ είναι λες και το προμηθεύτηκαν από τα jumbo αλλά οκ, κανείς δεν είναι τέλειος. Ελπίζω να βοήθησα!!!!
I have been buying the coffee maker since it was the Philips Saeco Poemia, I bought it again when it simply changed its name to Gaggia Viva Style, and because I was satisfied, I got the new model. After 5 months, I can say that on the positive side, it has the water tank where the tubes that draw water may seem strange, but it no longer has the valve that used to stick or collect limescale with the insert-remove of the tank, resulting in water leaks and frequent cleaning. The on/off button is now at the front, so you don't have to search at the back. On the negative side, the crema is at best terrible, more like a mix of crema with bubbles, but the main issue is the taste of the coffee I drink. Despite changing coffee brands, I haven't managed to get a nice result so far. Considering that I used to buy the old ones for €95 and now I paid €160 for the new one, I definitely expected something better, which I didn't see anywhere, at least in terms of coffee taste, because I really don't care if the positive is that it has a heavier portafilter or heats up 5 seconds faster than the old ones. I could overlook some negatives, like if you leave a small cup and don't hold it, you'll pick it up from the floor due to the many vibrations that move it, or if you tighten the portafilter too much, the coffee sticks to the machine in a magical way, making a mess to unstick it. Overall, it seems like a difficult model to me and not worth the money I spent at all.
Την καφετιέρα την αγοράζω από τότε που ήταν Philips Saeco Poemia, την ξαναγόρασα όταν απλά άλλαξε όνομα και έγινε Gaggia Viva Style και λόγο ότι ήμουν ευχαριστημένος πήρα και το καινούργιο μοντέλο, μετά από 5 μήνες μπορώ να πω ότι στα θετικά έχει το δοχείο νερού που μπορεί να φαίνονται περίεργα τα σωληνάκια που τραβά νερό, αλλά δεν έχει πια την βαλβίδα που με το βάλε βγάλε του δοχείου είτε κολλούσε, είτε έπιανε άλατα με αποτέλεσμα να τρέχουν νερά και να θέλει συχνό καθάρισμα, το κουμπί on/of είναι πλέον μπροστά και δεν ψάχνεσαι στο πίσω μέρος, στα αρνητικά το καϊμάκι είναι επιεικώς χάλια, περισσότερο μια μίξη καϊμάκι μαζί με μπουρμπουλήθρες βγαίνει, το βασικότερο όμως είναι η γεύση του καφέ που πίνω, παρόλο που αλλάζω μάρκες καφέ δεν έχω καταφέρει μέχρι τώρα να πάρω ωραίο αποτέλεσμα, αν σκεφτείς κιόλας ότι με 95€ αγόραζα τις παλιές και τώρα έδωσα 160€ για την καινούργια, σίγουρα περίμενα κάτι καλύτερο το οποίο δεν το είδα πουθενά, τουλάχιστον από γεύση καφέ, γιατί πραγματικά μου είναι αδιάφορο αν το θετικό είναι ότι έχει πιο βαρύ κλείστρο, ή ζεσταίνεται 5 δεύτερα πιο γρήγορα από τις παλιές.. όπως θα μπορούσα να παραβλέψω κάποια αρνητικά, ότι αν αφήσεις μικρό φλυτζάνι και δεν το πιάνεις θα το μαζέψεις από το πάτωμα, λόγο των πολλών κραδασμών που κάνει και το μετακινεί, η αν σφίξεις το κλείστρο πιο πολύ, ο καφές κολλάει πάνω στην μηχανή με ένα μαγικό τρόπο και τα κάνεις όλα χάλια για να τον ξεκολλήσεις, γενικά εμένα μου φαίνεται δύστροπο μοντέλο και ότι δεν άξιζε σε καμία περίπτωση τα χρήματα που έδωσα.
Tragic things. Terrible makeup, and while it was working perfectly at first, suddenly within 20 days the nozzle for the frothing milk broke. The authorized service denies that there is any problem. And now I will be forced to look for a solution from here. It's not worth even 1 euro all this.

For over 5 years, I had the previous model and without a second thought, I said I would stick with Gaggia. Compared to the previous model, I would say that the portafilter is clearly worse. The latches that secure it are plastic. It takes a bit of experimentation to achieve a good coffee. The water tank is difficult to remove, as you first have to maneuver to get it out, because the water supply tubes obstruct it. It has pre-infusion, so you need to press the coffee well in the portafilter. It has a nice appearance even though it is plastic.
Πάνω από 5 χρόνια είχα το προηγούμενο μοντέλο και χωρίς δεύτερη σκέψη είπα θα μείνω στην Gaggia. Σε σύγκριση με το προηγούμενο μοντέλο θα έλεγα ότι το portafilter είναι σαφώς χειρότερο.

Very good, the only change was in the OPV valve where I put a 9 bar spring since the factory one was giving much higher pressure and combined with the non-pressurized basket that I installed it did not give the result it should. The overall result is very good; combined with a good coffee grinder, you can make a very good coffee.

Το συνολικό αποτέλεσμα είναι πάρα πολύ καλό σε συνδυασμό με ένα καλό μύλο καφέ μπορείς να βγάλεις ένα πάρα πολύ καλό καφέ.

-The machine heats up quickly, as it is 1900W.
-It is made in Italy and it is indicated on the machine itself (on the left side if I'm not mistaken).
-It is made of plastic, but I have no issue with its quality for the price of 190 euros that it was purchased for, as I preferred it to have a PID and a better internal mechanism, rather than having some fake metal on the outside to increase the price and being made in China.
-It is not automatic, but semi-automatic, meaning you put the coffee in yourself, tamp it, and press the button, and the coffee machine makes it for you.
My only complaint is that when it rains for 2 seconds on the coffee (and after a short pause it starts producing it), during that "wetting" a little bit of coffee drips into the cup. This is negative because the 1-2 seconds are not enough to adequately heat up all the coffee you put in, so this juice is wasted. However, if you make coffee and find the golden ratio for how much coffee to put in the filter and how much to tamp it, you won't have this issue. (Don't ask me, I haven't bothered to find this golden ratio because it varies depending on the blend and the grind of the coffee, so good luck with that.)

-Είναι πλαστική αλλά δεν έχω κάποιο θέμα με την ποιότητα της για 190 ευρώ που αγοράστηκε, αφού προτίμησα να έχει PID και καλύτερο εσωτερικό μηχανισμο, παρά κάποιο ψευτομέταλλο απέξω για να ανεβαζει την τιμη και κατασκευη Κινας.
-ΔΕΝ ειναι αυτόματη αλλά ημιαυτόματη, δηλαδή βάζεις τον καφέ εσυ και τον πατικώνεις και πατάς το κουμπί και η καφετιέρα στον φτιαχνει.
Το μονο μου παράπονο είναι οτι όταν βρέχει για 2 δευτερολεπτα τον καφε (και μετα απο μια συντομη παύση αρχίζει να τον παράγει), κατα το "βρεξιμο" εκείνο τρέχει λιγο καφεδοζουμο στο ποτηρι. Αυτό ειναι αρνητικο γιατι τα 1-2 δευτερολεπτα δεν προλαβαινουν να ζεστανουν επαρκως ολο τον καφε που εβαλες, άρα το ζουμι αυτό ειναι για πέταμα. Ωστόσο, αν φτιαχνεις καφέ και βρεις την χρυση τομή για το πόσο καφε να βαλεις στο δοχειακι και πόσο να τον πατήσεις, δε θα εχεις το θέμα αυτό. (Μη με ρωτάτε, δε με έχει απασχολήσει να βρω τη χρυση τομή αυτή, γιατι αλλάζει αναλογα με το χαρμανι και το κοψιμο του καφέ, οπότε τρεχα γύρευε.)
As a taste and usability experience, I give it excellent. Very fast and depending on the blend, very good coffee. Also, very practical where the water tank is located because finally the water level is visible (compared to most others where the tank is not directly accessible). And also, very happy with the steam wand, which makes very creamy froth (I have completely removed the plastic attachment and use it without it). I had a Kenwood for over 7 years and after it paid off, I decided to move on. I was leaning towards the Dedica, which I had bought for my parents about two years ago, but as soon as I discovered the Gaggia espresso machine at this price point (and with PID!), I decided to take the plunge. Very satisfied. I would like to try an extra bottomless portafilter which, based on other videos and reviews, should take the result to the next level!
Σαν εμπειρία γεύσης και χρήσης, δίνω άριστα. Πάρα πολύ γρήγορη και ανάλογα το χαρμάνι και πάρα πολύ καλός καφές. Επίσης, πολύ πρακτικό το πού είναι τοποθετημένο το δοχείο νερού γιατί επιτέλους η στάθμη του νερού είναι εμφανής (σε σχέση με την πλειονότητα των άλλων που το δοχείο δεν είναι άμεσα προσβάσιμο). Και ακόμη, πολύ χαρούμενη με το ακροφυσιο, το οποίο κάνει πολύ κρεμωδες αφρόγαλο (έχω βγάλει εντελώς το πλαστικό εξάρτημα και το χρησιμοποιώ χωρίς αυτό). Είχα μια Kenwood, πάνω από 7 χρόνια και αφού τα έβγαλε τα λεφτά της, αποφάσισα να προχωρήσω. Ήμουν προσανατολισμένη προς τη dedica, την οποία την είχα πάρει για τους γονείς μου πριν από περίπου δυο χρόνια, αλλά μόλις ανακάλυψα εσπρεσιερα της Gaggia σε αυτό το pricepoint (και με PID!) είπα να το τολμήσω. Πολύ ευχαριστημένη. Θα ήθελα να δοκιμάσω και έξτρα bottomless portafilter που βάσει άλλων βίντεο -κριτικών πρέπει να πάει το αποτέλεσμα σε επόμενο level!
Quite good construction, it surpasses the previous series of VIVA. It has a heavy latch that you can feel in your hand. It has two slots for single and double doses of coffee that you need to choose which one will suit you. With the previous VIVA that I had, things were easier. Unfortunately, it broke quickly within the warranty period due to an electrical problem. With the refund, I added something extra and decided to take a risk since this model is Italian-made. It has memory for the coffee you prefer to make and it makes good froth milk. However, in general, you need to explore it to determine if it suits you. Nevertheless, the previous VIVA series was definitely easier, even though it was manual. I have made two coffees with it because I bought it for my country house. I will come back if I have something new, I hope I helped.
Αρκετά καλή κατασκευή, υπερέχει από την προηγούμενη σειρά τής VIVA, έχει βαρή κλείστρο το καταλαβαίνεις στο χέρι σου, δύο υποδοχές καφέ μονής και διπλής δόσεις που πρέπει να επιλέξεις ποιο θα σε καλύψει, με την προηγούμενη viva που είχα τα πράγματα ήταν ποιο εύκολα, δυστυχώς χάλασε γρήγορα μέσα στην εγγύηση πρόβλημα στα ηλεκτρικά, με την επιστροφή χρημάτων πρόσθεσα κάτι ακόμα και είπα να ρισκάρω,μιας και αυτό το μοντέλο είναι καραντη ιταλικό, έχει μνήμη για τον καφέ που προτιμάς να φτιάξεις κάνει καλό αφρόγαλα αλλά σε γενικές γραμμές πρέπει να την ψάξεις για να κατασταλάξεις αν σε καλύπτει, πάντως ή προηγούμενη σειρά VIVA σαφώς αν και χειροκίνητη ήταν ποιο εύκολη, και εγώ δύο καφέδες έχω φτιάξει επειδή την πήρα για το εξοχικό θα επανέλθω αν έχω κάτι νεότερο, ελπίζω να βοήθησα.

After 5 months, I can say that on the positive side, it has the water tank where the tubes that draw water may seem strange, but it no longer has the valve that used to stick or collect limescale with the insert-remove of the tank, resulting in water leaks and frequent cleaning. The on/off button is now at the front, so you don't have to search at the back. On the negative side, the crema is at best terrible, more like a mix of crema with bubbles, but the main issue is the taste of the coffee I drink. Despite changing coffee brands, I haven't managed to get a nice result so far. Considering that I used to buy the old ones for €95 and now I paid €160 for the new one, I definitely expected something better, which I didn't see anywhere, at least in terms of coffee taste, because I really don't care if the positive is that it has a heavier portafilter or heats up 5 seconds faster than the old ones. I could overlook some negatives, like if you leave a small cup and don't hold it, you'll pick it up from the floor due to the many vibrations that move it, or if you tighten the portafilter too much, the coffee sticks to the machine in a magical way, making a mess to unstick it. Overall, it seems like a difficult model to me and not worth the money I spent at all.
Την καφετιέρα την αγοράζω από τότε που ήταν Philips Saeco Poemia, την ξαναγόρασα όταν απλά άλλαξε όνομα και έγινε Gaggia Viva Style και λόγο ότι ήμουν ευχαριστημένος πήρα και το καινούργιο μοντέλο, μετά από 5 μήνες μπορώ να πω ότι στα θετικά έχει το δοχείο νερού που μπορεί να φαίνονται περίεργα τα σωληνάκια που τραβά νερό, αλλά δεν έχει πια την βαλβίδα που με το βάλε βγάλε του δοχείου είτε κολλούσε, είτε έπιανε άλατα με αποτέλεσμα να τρέχουν νερά και να θέλει συχνό καθάρισμα, το κουμπί on/of είναι πλέον μπροστά και δεν ψάχνεσαι στο πίσω μέρος, στα αρνητικά το καϊμάκι είναι επιεικώς χάλια, περισσότερο μια μίξη καϊμάκι μαζί με μπουρμπουλήθρες βγαίνει, το βασικότερο όμως είναι η γεύση του καφέ που πίνω, παρόλο που αλλάζω μάρκες καφέ δεν έχω καταφέρει μέχρι τώρα να πάρω ωραίο αποτέλεσμα, αν σκεφτείς κιόλας ότι με 95€ αγόραζα τις παλιές και τώρα έδωσα 160€ για την καινούργια, σίγουρα περίμενα κάτι καλύτερο το οποίο δεν το είδα πουθενά, τουλάχιστον από γεύση καφέ, γιατί πραγματικά μου είναι αδιάφορο αν το θετικό είναι ότι έχει πιο βαρύ κλείστρο, ή ζεσταίνεται 5 δεύτερα πιο γρήγορα από τις παλιές.. όπως θα μπορούσα να παραβλέψω κάποια αρνητικά, ότι αν αφήσεις μικρό φλυτζάνι και δεν το πιάνεις θα το μαζέψεις από το πάτωμα, λόγο των πολλών κραδασμών που κάνει και το μετακινεί, η αν σφίξεις το κλείστρο πιο πολύ, ο καφές κολλάει πάνω στην μηχανή με ένα μαγικό τρόπο και τα κάνεις όλα χάλια για να τον ξεκολλήσεις, γενικά εμένα μου φαίνεται δύστροπο μοντέλο και ότι δεν άξιζε σε καμία περίπτωση τα χρήματα που έδωσα.
Tragic things. Terrible makeup, and while it was working perfectly at first, suddenly within 20 days the nozzle for the frothing milk broke. The authorized service denies that there is any problem. And now I will be forced to look for a solution from here. It's not worth even 1 euro all this.

With the machine (stock version) I only made 3 coffees, since I didn't buy it with the intention of drinking coffee with the current settings. I changed the portafilter to a bottomless one with a non-pressurized basket (for the dimensions you want, there is only one option available, it's of good quality and together with customs it will cost you about €53 from edesia espress). I also changed the spring in the OPV to lower the pressure from 15 bar to 9. You can find springs everywhere. For me, the 3 springs cost about €9. The replacement is super easy. These, combined with an Adler AD4450 grinder set to level 5, allow me to drink top-level coffee. I should note that... the edesia portafilter I mentioned says 14g capacity but I put 18g in it without any problem, I extract in 25 seconds and the coffee is f***ing great. It just needs some experimentation with tamping, as with too much tamping you don't get enough coffee and with too little you don't get the flavor. Also, the tamper seems like they got it from Jumbo but ok, nobody's perfect. Hope I helped!!!!
Με τη μηχανή (μαμά έκδοση) έφτιαξα 3 καφέδες μόνο, καθώς δεν την αγόρασα με σκοπό να πίνω καφέ με τις παρούσες ρυθμίσεις. Άλλαξα portafilter σε bottomless με non presurised καλάθι (στις διαστάσεις που θέλετε κυκλοφορεί μόνο μια επιλογή, είναι ποιοτική και μαζί με τελωνείο θα σας βγει περίπου στα 53€ από το edesia espress). Επίσης άλλαξα και ελατήριο στην OPV για να κατέβει η πίεση από τα 15 bar στα 9. Ελατήρια θα βρείτε παντού. Εμένα μου κόστισαν τα 3 ελατήρια γύρω στα 9 €. Η αντικατάσταση είναι πανευκολη. Αυτά και σε συνδυασμό μύλο άλεσης Adler AD4450 με άλεση στο επίπεδο 5 πίνω καφέ επιπέδου. Να σημειώσω ότι....το portafilter της edesia που ανέφερα γράφει 14γρ χωρητικότητα αλλά εγώ του βάζω 18 γρ χωρίς κανένα πρόβλημα, εκχυλιζω στα 25 δευτερόλεπτα και ο καφές γαμ**". Θέλει μόνο πειραματισμό στο πάτημα, καθώς με πολύ πάτημα δεν βγάζει επαρκή ποσότητα καφέ και με λίγο δεν πιάνεις γεύση. Επίσης το ταμπερ είναι λες και το προμηθεύτηκαν από τα jumbo αλλά οκ, κανείς δεν είναι τέλειος. Ελπίζω να βοήθησα!!!!

For over 5 years, I had the previous model and without a second thought, I said I would stick with Gaggia. Compared to the previous model, I would say that the portafilter is clearly worse. The latches that secure it are plastic. It takes a bit of experimentation to achieve a good coffee. The water tank is difficult to remove, as you first have to maneuver to get it out, because the water supply tubes obstruct it. It has pre-infusion, so you need to press the coffee well in the portafilter. It has a nice appearance even though it is plastic.
Πάνω από 5 χρόνια είχα το προηγούμενο μοντέλο και χωρίς δεύτερη σκέψη είπα θα μείνω στην Gaggia. Σε σύγκριση με το προηγούμενο μοντέλο θα έλεγα ότι το portafilter είναι σαφώς χειρότερο.
Οι προεξοχές που το ασφαλίζουν είναι πλαστικές.
Θέλει λίγο πειραματισμό μέχρι να πετύχεις έναν καλό καφέ.
Το δοχείο του νερού βγαίνει δύσκολα, καθώς πρέπει πρώτα να κάνεις μανούβρα για να το βγάλεις, γιατί το εμποδίζουν τα σωληνάκια παροχής του νερού.
Έχει προέγχυση νερού, οπότε θα πρέπει να πιέσεις καλά τον καφέ στο portafiler.
Έχει ωραία εμφάνιση παρόλο ότι είναι πλαστική.

Very good, the only change was in the OPV valve where I put a 9 bar spring since the factory one was giving much higher pressure and combined with the non-pressurized basket that I installed it did not give the result it should. The overall result is very good; combined with a good coffee grinder, you can make a very good coffee.
Πολύ καλή,η μόνη αλλαγή ήταν στη βαλβίδα OPV που έβαλα ένα ελατήριο των 9 bar μιας και το εργοστασιακό έδινε πολύ παραπάνω πίεση και σε συνδυασμό με το non pressurised καλάθι που έβαλα δεν έδινε το αποτέλεσμα που έπρεπε.
Το συνολικό αποτέλεσμα είναι πάρα πολύ καλό σε συνδυασμό με ένα καλό μύλο καφέ μπορείς να βγάλεις ένα πάρα πολύ καλό καφέ.
After 1 month of use, I can say that everything is fine. Quick preparation, relatively quiet, good froth in the coffee.

Τα σπάει η μηχανή.με τον πρώτο καφέ που έφτιαξε.
-The machine heats up quickly, as it is 1900W.
-It is made in Italy and it is indicated on the machine itself (on the left side if I'm not mistaken).
-It is made of plastic, but I have no issue with its quality for the price of 190 euros that it was purchased for, as I preferred it to have a PID and a better internal mechanism, rather than having some fake metal on the outside to increase the price and being made in China.
-It is not automatic, but semi-automatic, meaning you put the coffee in yourself, tamp it, and press the button, and the coffee machine makes it for you.
My only complaint is that when it rains for 2 seconds on the coffee (and after a short pause it starts producing it), during that "wetting" a little bit of coffee drips into the cup. This is negative because the 1-2 seconds are not enough to adequately heat up all the coffee you put in, so this juice is wasted. However, if you make coffee and find the golden ratio for how much coffee to put in the filter and how much to tamp it, you won't have this issue. (Don't ask me, I haven't bothered to find this golden ratio because it varies depending on the blend and the grind of the coffee, so good luck with that.)
-Η μηχανή ζεσταίνεται τάχιστα, μια και ειναι και 1900W.
-Ειναι κατασκευασμένη στην Ιταλία και το αναγράφει και πανω στην ιδια τη μηχανη (στην αριστερή πλευρα αν δεν απατώμαι).
-Είναι πλαστική αλλά δεν έχω κάποιο θέμα με την ποιότητα της για 190 ευρώ που αγοράστηκε, αφού προτίμησα να έχει PID και καλύτερο εσωτερικό μηχανισμο, παρά κάποιο ψευτομέταλλο απέξω για να ανεβαζει την τιμη και κατασκευη Κινας.
-ΔΕΝ ειναι αυτόματη αλλά ημιαυτόματη, δηλαδή βάζεις τον καφέ εσυ και τον πατικώνεις και πατάς το κουμπί και η καφετιέρα στον φτιαχνει.
Το μονο μου παράπονο είναι οτι όταν βρέχει για 2 δευτερολεπτα τον καφε (και μετα απο μια συντομη παύση αρχίζει να τον παράγει), κατα το "βρεξιμο" εκείνο τρέχει λιγο καφεδοζουμο στο ποτηρι. Αυτό ειναι αρνητικο γιατι τα 1-2 δευτερολεπτα δεν προλαβαινουν να ζεστανουν επαρκως ολο τον καφε που εβαλες, άρα το ζουμι αυτό ειναι για πέταμα. Ωστόσο, αν φτιαχνεις καφέ και βρεις την χρυση τομή για το πόσο καφε να βαλεις στο δοχειακι και πόσο να τον πατήσεις, δε θα εχεις το θέμα αυτό. (Μη με ρωτάτε, δε με έχει απασχολήσει να βρω τη χρυση τομή αυτή, γιατι αλλάζει αναλογα με το χαρμανι και το κοψιμο του καφέ, οπότε τρεχα γύρευε.)
As a taste and usability experience, I give it excellent. Very fast and depending on the blend, very good coffee. Also, very practical where the water tank is located because finally the water level is visible (compared to most others where the tank is not directly accessible). And also, very happy with the steam wand, which makes very creamy froth (I have completely removed the plastic attachment and use it without it). I had a Kenwood for over 7 years and after it paid off, I decided to move on. I was leaning towards the Dedica, which I had bought for my parents about two years ago, but as soon as I discovered the Gaggia espresso machine at this price point (and with PID!), I decided to take the plunge. Very satisfied. I would like to try an extra bottomless portafilter which, based on other videos and reviews, should take the result to the next level!
Σαν εμπειρία γεύσης και χρήσης, δίνω άριστα. Πάρα πολύ γρήγορη και ανάλογα το χαρμάνι και πάρα πολύ καλός καφές. Επίσης, πολύ πρακτικό το πού είναι τοποθετημένο το δοχείο νερού γιατί επιτέλους η στάθμη του νερού είναι εμφανής (σε σχέση με την πλειονότητα των άλλων που το δοχείο δεν είναι άμεσα προσβάσιμο). Και ακόμη, πολύ χαρούμενη με το ακροφυσιο, το οποίο κάνει πολύ κρεμωδες αφρόγαλο (έχω βγάλει εντελώς το πλαστικό εξάρτημα και το χρησιμοποιώ χωρίς αυτό). Είχα μια Kenwood, πάνω από 7 χρόνια και αφού τα έβγαλε τα λεφτά της, αποφάσισα να προχωρήσω. Ήμουν προσανατολισμένη προς τη dedica, την οποία την είχα πάρει για τους γονείς μου πριν από περίπου δυο χρόνια, αλλά μόλις ανακάλυψα εσπρεσιερα της Gaggia σε αυτό το pricepoint (και με PID!) είπα να το τολμήσω. Πολύ ευχαριστημένη. Θα ήθελα να δοκιμάσω και έξτρα bottomless portafilter που βάσει άλλων βίντεο -κριτικών πρέπει να πάει το αποτέλεσμα σε επόμενο level!
Quite good construction, it surpasses the previous series of VIVA. It has a heavy latch that you can feel in your hand. It has two slots for single and double doses of coffee that you need to choose which one will suit you. With the previous VIVA that I had, things were easier. Unfortunately, it broke quickly within the warranty period due to an electrical problem. With the refund, I added something extra and decided to take a risk since this model is Italian-made. It has memory for the coffee you prefer to make and it makes good froth milk. However, in general, you need to explore it to determine if it suits you. Nevertheless, the previous VIVA series was definitely easier, even though it was manual. I have made two coffees with it because I bought it for my country house. I will come back if I have something new, I hope I helped.
Αρκετά καλή κατασκευή, υπερέχει από την προηγούμενη σειρά τής VIVA, έχει βαρή κλείστρο το καταλαβαίνεις στο χέρι σου, δύο υποδοχές καφέ μονής και διπλής δόσεις που πρέπει να επιλέξεις ποιο θα σε καλύψει, με την προηγούμενη viva που είχα τα πράγματα ήταν ποιο εύκολα, δυστυχώς χάλασε γρήγορα μέσα στην εγγύηση πρόβλημα στα ηλεκτρικά, με την επιστροφή χρημάτων πρόσθεσα κάτι ακόμα και είπα να ρισκάρω,μιας και αυτό το μοντέλο είναι καραντη ιταλικό, έχει μνήμη για τον καφέ που προτιμάς να φτιάξεις κάνει καλό αφρόγαλα αλλά σε γενικές γραμμές πρέπει να την ψάξεις για να κατασταλάξεις αν σε καλύπτει, πάντως ή προηγούμενη σειρά VIVA σαφώς αν και χειροκίνητη ήταν ποιο εύκολη, και εγώ δύο καφέδες έχω φτιάξει επειδή την πήρα για το εξοχικό θα επανέλθω αν έχω κάτι νεότερο, ελπίζω να βοήθησα.

Love it. It gives a very decent espresso shot with a nice syrupy texture using various packet ground coffee - lazazza, illy etc. It also gives a nice strong steam although hard to control the nozzle since it does not move around much.
It takes a little work to get used to workflow but once its dialed in, it behaves well.
The external part of the unit feels cheap - plastic, not very heavy. Other than that, really good value.

With the machine (stock version) I only made 3 coffees, since I didn't buy it with the intention of drinking coffee with the current settings. I changed the portafilter to a bottomless one with a non-pressurized basket (for the dimensions you want, there is only one option available, it's of good quality and together with customs it will cost you about €53 from edesia espress). I also changed the spring in the OPV to lower the pressure from 15 bar to 9. You can find springs everywhere. For me, the 3 springs cost about €9. The replacement is super easy. These, combined with an Adler AD4450 grinder set to level 5, allow me to drink top-level coffee. I should note that... the edesia portafilter I mentioned says 14g capacity but I put 18g in it without any problem, I extract in 25 seconds and the coffee is f***ing great. It just needs some experimentation with tamping, as with too much tamping you don't get enough coffee and with too little you don't get the flavor. Also, the tamper seems like they got it from Jumbo but ok, nobody's perfect. Hope I helped!!!!
Με τη μηχανή (μαμά έκδοση) έφτιαξα 3 καφέδες μόνο, καθώς δεν την αγόρασα με σκοπό να πίνω καφέ με τις παρούσες ρυθμίσεις. Άλλαξα portafilter σε bottomless με non presurised καλάθι (στις διαστάσεις που θέλετε κυκλοφορεί μόνο μια επιλογή, είναι ποιοτική και μαζί με τελωνείο θα σας βγει περίπου στα 53€ από το edesia espress). Επίσης άλλαξα και ελατήριο στην OPV για να κατέβει η πίεση από τα 15 bar στα 9. Ελατήρια θα βρείτε παντού. Εμένα μου κόστισαν τα 3 ελατήρια γύρω στα 9 €. Η αντικατάσταση είναι πανευκολη. Αυτά και σε συνδυασμό μύλο άλεσης Adler AD4450 με άλεση στο επίπεδο 5 πίνω καφέ επιπέδου. Να σημειώσω ότι....το portafilter της edesia που ανέφερα γράφει 14γρ χωρητικότητα αλλά εγώ του βάζω 18 γρ χωρίς κανένα πρόβλημα, εκχυλιζω στα 25 δευτερόλεπτα και ο καφές γαμ**". Θέλει μόνο πειραματισμό στο πάτημα, καθώς με πολύ πάτημα δεν βγάζει επαρκή ποσότητα καφέ και με λίγο δεν πιάνεις γεύση. Επίσης το ταμπερ είναι λες και το προμηθεύτηκαν από τα jumbo αλλά οκ, κανείς δεν είναι τέλειος. Ελπίζω να βοήθησα!!!!
I have been buying the coffee maker since it was the Philips Saeco Poemia, I bought it again when it simply changed its name to Gaggia Viva Style, and because I was satisfied, I got the new model. After 5 months, I can say that on the positive side, it has the water tank where the tubes that draw water may seem strange, but it no longer has the valve that used to stick or collect limescale with the insert-remove of the tank, resulting in water leaks and frequent cleaning. The on/off button is now at the front, so you don't have to search at the back. On the negative side, the crema is at best terrible, more like a mix of crema with bubbles, but the main issue is the taste of the coffee I drink. Despite changing coffee brands, I haven't managed to get a nice result so far. Considering that I used to buy the old ones for €95 and now I paid €160 for the new one, I definitely expected something better, which I didn't see anywhere, at least in terms of coffee taste, because I really don't care if the positive is that it has a heavier portafilter or heats up 5 seconds faster than the old ones. I could overlook some negatives, like if you leave a small cup and don't hold it, you'll pick it up from the floor due to the many vibrations that move it, or if you tighten the portafilter too much, the coffee sticks to the machine in a magical way, making a mess to unstick it. Overall, it seems like a difficult model to me and not worth the money I spent at all.
Την καφετιέρα την αγοράζω από τότε που ήταν Philips Saeco Poemia, την ξαναγόρασα όταν απλά άλλαξε όνομα και έγινε Gaggia Viva Style και λόγο ότι ήμουν ευχαριστημένος πήρα και το καινούργιο μοντέλο, μετά από 5 μήνες μπορώ να πω ότι στα θετικά έχει το δοχείο νερού που μπορεί να φαίνονται περίεργα τα σωληνάκια που τραβά νερό, αλλά δεν έχει πια την βαλβίδα που με το βάλε βγάλε του δοχείου είτε κολλούσε, είτε έπιανε άλατα με αποτέλεσμα να τρέχουν νερά και να θέλει συχνό καθάρισμα, το κουμπί on/of είναι πλέον μπροστά και δεν ψάχνεσαι στο πίσω μέρος, στα αρνητικά το καϊμάκι είναι επιεικώς χάλια, περισσότερο μια μίξη καϊμάκι μαζί με μπουρμπουλήθρες βγαίνει, το βασικότερο όμως είναι η γεύση του καφέ που πίνω, παρόλο που αλλάζω μάρκες καφέ δεν έχω καταφέρει μέχρι τώρα να πάρω ωραίο αποτέλεσμα, αν σκεφτείς κιόλας ότι με 95€ αγόραζα τις παλιές και τώρα έδωσα 160€ για την καινούργια, σίγουρα περίμενα κάτι καλύτερο το οποίο δεν το είδα πουθενά, τουλάχιστον από γεύση καφέ, γιατί πραγματικά μου είναι αδιάφορο αν το θετικό είναι ότι έχει πιο βαρύ κλείστρο, ή ζεσταίνεται 5 δεύτερα πιο γρήγορα από τις παλιές.. όπως θα μπορούσα να παραβλέψω κάποια αρνητικά, ότι αν αφήσεις μικρό φλυτζάνι και δεν το πιάνεις θα το μαζέψεις από το πάτωμα, λόγο των πολλών κραδασμών που κάνει και το μετακινεί, η αν σφίξεις το κλείστρο πιο πολύ, ο καφές κολλάει πάνω στην μηχανή με ένα μαγικό τρόπο και τα κάνεις όλα χάλια για να τον ξεκολλήσεις, γενικά εμένα μου φαίνεται δύστροπο μοντέλο και ότι δεν άξιζε σε καμία περίπτωση τα χρήματα που έδωσα.
Tragic things. Terrible makeup, and while it was working perfectly at first, suddenly within 20 days the nozzle for the frothing milk broke. The authorized service denies that there is any problem. And now I will be forced to look for a solution from here. It's not worth even 1 euro all this.
Τραγικα τα πραγματα. άθλιο καιμακι, και ενω πηγαινε τρενο στην αρχη το ακροφυσιο για το αφρογαλα ξαφνικά μεσα σε 20 μερες χαλασε. Το εξουσιοδοτημενο σερβις αρνείται οτι υπαρχει το οποιοδήποτε προβλημα. Και τωρα θα αναγκαστω να ψαξω λύση απο εδω. Δεν αξιζει ουτε 1 ευρω ολο αυυο.

Αντικατέστησε μία άλλη εξίσου καλή Gaggia καί φτιάχνει καφέ πού καί απαιτητικοί λάτρεις τού καφέ παραδέχονται ότι είναι καλή μηχανή.
