There are moments when you pause for a little while, take deep breaths, and look back. This is a common human trait. However, the way someone reflects on their journey varies. My first literary attempt, the poetry collection "Parenthetical Instructions" (in parentheses) – stage directions, represents my small moment of reflection on the path toward adulthood.

Small and large thoughts, topics, and events that marked my adolescence and post-adolescence and shaped the person I am today. Knowing what a young person of the twenty-first century is made of, I can move forward.

With the poetry collection “Parenthetical Instructions,” Elizavet Kenanoglou introduces herself to the reading audience. The book collects a group of poems from her teenage and early youth years. During this period, the poet examines the concepts of love, the Divine, identity, and human continuity.
