Description

  • Blood glucose-triglycerides-cholesterol measuring device
  • With advanced electrode measurement
  • Easy to use
  • Readable
  • Suitable for home measurements, as well as for mass measurements
  • Contains all the necessary accessories to perform a measurement
  • Measurement is done simply with a drop of blood
  • Different strips for each measurement and for each parameter
  • The device contains 10 glucose strips, the painless lancing pen, lancets, and the carrying case.

The Multicare in 3 parameters meter is manufactured in Italy by Biomedical Systems International.

  • Measurement of glucose, triglycerides, and cholesterol, all in one electronic meter!
  • Measurements are done simply and quickly using strips: Blood glucose measurement with Multicare in glucose strips (electronic measurement*).
  • Cholesterol measurement with Multicare in cholesterol strips.
  • Triglycerides measurement with Multicare in triglycerides strips.
  • The Multicare in meter has an amperometric blood glucose measurement system using a biosensor integrated into the glucose strips.
  • Triglycerides and cholesterol measurements use the conventional reflectometric system with simple triglycerides and cholesterol strips.
  • The Multicare in meter is designed for quick and easy measurements by simply changing the strip.
  • It features an LCD screen, memory for 255 measurements, and weighs only 70 grams.
  • The Multicare in meter performs all 3 measurements with a blood sample from the fingertip.
  • Blood glucose measurement requires a sample of 25-500 mg/dl (1.4-28 mmol/l).
  • Cholesterol measurement requires a sample of 130-400 mg/dl (3.3-10.2 mmol/l) and triglycerides measurement requires a sample of 50-500 mg/dl (0.56-5.6 mmol/l).

    Verified purchase

When I bought it, it came with 5 test strips for cholesterol, 5 for triglycerides, and 10 for sugar as a gift. I decided to "waste" some of the test strips to verify the accuracy of the device, that is, to see if the instrument is consistent with itself. Therefore, I took continuous measurements and expected to see very close values. Unfortunately, the deviation was significant. If I remember correctly, the first measurement for cholesterol was 217 and the second, with a difference of a few seconds, was 179. Unfortunately, this kind of difference does not satisfy me.

Also, there are other factors that make me consider the machine unreliable. For example, I measured my sugar and it showed 80. I immediately measured it again, hoping to see around 80 again, but the test strip did not absorb all the blood and showed 20!!! A machine that is made by professional engineers and is released on the market should, in these cases, display "error - not enough blood" or "error - something went wrong". It should know that 20 is not within the acceptable range...

Generally speaking, neither did the other features impress me, and essentially it did not help me much. Maybe I will give it a chance in the future by buying more test strips (although they are very expensive).
