The strategy game Jagged Alliance 3 for Xbox Series X is set in Grand Chien, where the disappearance of the elected president and the takeover of the countryside by the paramilitary organisation The Legion plunge the country into chaos. The president’s family hires a team of mercenaries to find him and restore order. Choosing mercenaries from a large cast, each with a distinct personality, quirks and backstory, shapes the course of the mission.

Combat is turn-based and tactical, allowing for detailed control. Decisions affect the country’s development, while weapons can jam, bullets can penetrate materials and explosions can destroy buildings. Exploring the map, capturing territories and outposts, training local militias and commanding multiple squads are all part of the action in a living world. Mercenaries comment on your actions in their own voices and may refuse to cooperate if trust is lacking or they dislike a member of the team. Online multiplayer requires an Xbox Live Gold subscription, sold separately.
