The Proteas Filter Proton single countertop water filter unit sits on the kitchen counter and connects directly to the faucet. Its special adapter lets you choose between filtered and unfiltered water, while the safety clip and half-turn opening make filter replacement easy. It is made of polypropylene and comes with a replacement Proteas MD 05 coconut-shell activated carbon filter.
The filter removes sediment, such as sand, silt and rust, down to 0.5 μm, as well as up to 100% of chlorine. It removes volatile substances, trihalomethanes, chloroform and chemicals, while improving the taste and odour of water in accordance with NSF/ANSI Standard 42. It does not release carbon dust.
