In The Witcher: Old World, you take on the role of a Witcher — a professional monster slayer — and immerse yourself in the legendary universe of The Witcher franchise.
Set years before the saga of Geralt of Rivia, The Witcher: Old World explores a time when monsters roamed the Continent in greater numbers, creating a constant danger that required the attention of expertly trained Witchers. Five competing schools trained their Witchers through brutal methods, and once fully prepared, these now recognized Witchers set out to explore the Continent, seeking trouble and adventure and helping others, for money of course.
In this competitive adventure board game, 2-5 players travel across a vast map, undertake various quests, encounter and make ambiguous moral choices, fight monsters — and sometimes brawl with other Witchers to defend the honor of their school! The game allows players to build their own unique decks by choosing from a wide range of abilities: attacks, dodges, and magic combat — known as "signs." Through card synergy, players aim to achieve powerful combinations as they maximize their potential, the characteristic abilities of their school. Quests, battles, and even dice poker allow each player to earn money, acquire new items, and develop their skills.
The first player to acquire 4-6 trophies, with the number set at the beginning of the game, wins the game immediately. The game will include a Solo mode that allows for a solo adventure on the Continent.
