I use them inside apartment buildings when the technicians' mobile phones have no signal. Very good sound and range.

Ideal size, and very good reception and transmission. The battery, of course, doesn't last long, but the size is very convenient. If you can download the corresponding app, you can also program the frequencies, making it more convenient to use for non-experts.

Okay for their price, but with quite a loud volume that doesn't lower as much as it should.. It sounds loud outdoors where there is noise, but listening to, for example, the radio at home is difficult without disturbing those around you.. The battery lasts several hours, the channels as it comes from the factory are 16, with pre-installed frequencies unrelated to PMR. If you use it for PMR, you will need to get the programming cable for adjustment via computer. Very convenient size, I use it for cycling with its hands-free, which supports VOX. I will update once I purchase the programming cable, which I consider essential.

Update: The cable is indeed essential, and with the appropriate software (chirp) or its own, you can intervene not only in the frequencies but also in many other internal settings, such as expanding the transmission spectrum, output power, subtones, etc. During programming, the number of channels increases to 20. It can also be programmed for VHF frequencies 130-174 MHz but it is probably not recommended for transmission due to an unsuitable antenna. On UHF it covers frequencies 400-520 MHz, with two power options, at 0.5W and 1W (set via software). In general, it is reliable, but always with the small issue of voice volume. The FM radio function is very useful, which is automatically interrupted and switches to frequency listening as soon as it detects a transmitted signal. The cable is therefore essential, at least for programming the frequencies so you can be compatible with other transceivers. Personally, I have programmed it to the 8 classic PMR channels and some (amateur) voice repeaters in the area.

Update2: Sometimes it happens that one of the two "sticks" when it is off and does not turn on. The only solution in this case is to remove and reinsert the battery.. There are also videos on YouTube (for those who like mods), where you can somewhat improve the high volume issue if you are handy with tools and a soldering iron..
